The Bistro Cafe Restaurant

I think it will be hit or miss for your experience here. We were thankful they were open at the end of the season. Our choice of menu, burger or alfredo ?‍♀️ Coors light or their last bottle of budlight? It wasn't the best and wasn't bad. Thankfully they had a glass of Cab for me ? I just wouldn't seek this place out, especially in Oct. Everywhere you stay you can cook, bring your own food if you can! Don't count on the menu or hours of operation in this town.

We enjoyed a surprisingly good lunch here. The Cheeseburger was hot with crispy lettuce, fresh tomato, pickle and onion on a nicely toasted bun. The BLT was equally hot with crisp fresh lettuce and tomato. The hand cut fries were hot and crispy. The atmosphere, it was towards the end of the season, was not exceptionally great but the service was fast and friendly.

I'm glad we found this place for breakfast, as there were almost no alternatives, the pros are that there is internet, which is rare in this area. The cons are that the food is not very tasty, but it's okay for a one-time meal, the pancakes had a fishy taste, which really spoiled our appetite.

The food was actually decent but the place was filthy. The tables weren’t wiped off and the bathroom was disgusting. The women’s restroom was out of order and there was no paper towels or toilet paper in the men’s. The trash was overflowing and the soap dispenser was broken. There was only one waitress so the service was a little slow.

I was happy to stop in Cook City to grab some gas and some breakfast, since I had been riding since early morning. I decided to try this Cafe out, since it had a very historic and traditional appearance. The staff were very helpful and seemed like very dedicated workers. Overall it was great, except for the actual food. I'm not too picky about breakfast but this food was very very bland. It didn't seem like the eggs or the hash browns were seasoned at all. Also, they didn't have any salsa to help with the situation. It's not the worst thing in the world, and I was happy to have breakfast. So I ate, paid, and left to hit The Beartooth highway.

Food was meh. It was the bathrooms that were horrendous. The women's bathroom was OUT OF ORDER. So had to use the MEN's. Ok, fine. But there was no soap. And to top it off, the sign in there said "ALL EMPLOYEES MUST WASH THEIR HANDS". Great, that is all fine too, but how can the employees wash their hands if there's no soap. Gross.

The food was good, the service was a little slow and when we were there they only had one bathroom because the other one was broken. I was expecting more country rustic decor because of the front but the decor was kinda cheap looking. We wanted to sit outside since they have seating on the side and the weather was perfect but when we asked the staff she said no. Guess they were short staffed or she didn't understand ?

Sat down at 2PM with about half the restaurant filled. No one came over to us for 15 minutes. Woman behind the counter looked over at our table several times and never came over to asked for someone to. After waiting we got up and left to see both women behind the counter in their phones and they even thanked us for coming… that’s how oblivious they were

Had lunch there because I was passing through, simple environment. tired of the usual burgers we opted for NY steak, a well done and a medium. The waitress made a mistake in delivering the dishes, the steaks were good.
