Best breakfast around. Atmosphere is wonderful with seating inside and out. Inside is bigger than you think and cozy. Food is delicious and the staff is very friendly and extremely competent. No question to eat breakfast here when you have the chance.
We decided to go onto Silvergate for lunch during the Beartooth motorcycle rally and we were pleasantly surprised to eat at the log cabin Café. The food is outstanding the service impeccable the atmosphere clean and it was all around just a great time. I highly recommend it.
ice cream sundae was amazing
The staff first and foremost were so friendly that I left shell shocked by it. 10/10. The menu is very small, which is expected in such a small remote town. The food was not good. I ordered pancakes with eggs bacon and hash browns. The pancakes had no flavor, the syrup was watery, the eggs had a really off flavor, the hash browns were good. Bacon 10/10. Prices made me cry considering how tasteless it all was.
The log Cabin cafe is a great spot to start the day in Yellowstone with some breakfast! I got the huevos rancheros. It was very yummy. And the diners decor suits the environment.
Look, I'm pushing 50 and I love breakfast. This was the best breakfast I have had in years. I had the Montana French Toast, I don't know how they cook it but it was magical. Our table also ordered the corned beef hash (special), the breakfast sandwich, the cinnamon swirl pancakes, and a side of biscuits and gravy to share. Every single item was top notch. Seriously one of the best and happiest breakfasts I have had in years!
Awesome place to stop! Very friendly service and big portions. Food was great! The atmosphere Was just amazing.
The best place for a meal in the area. Breakfast is incredible and the pumpkin bread truly is AMAZING. Lunch options are delicious as well. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, and the dining area is cozy. This will be our go-to spot anytime we’re driving through the area!
We arrived at the restaurant at 10 am for breakfast. According to Google and their website breakfast ran until 10:30. When we arrived the host told us that they were no longer serving breakfast. I asked if they ran out, and they responded that they hadn't, but just decided to stop. We had driven over an hour for breakfast and were told.to drive to the gas station to get something. It was very frustrating!! We went back today at 9 am, and were able to get breakfast which was good. Just don't plan to be served if you arrive late morning.
The breakfast is absolutely delicious and worth a trip to the area. I stayed across the street at the Silver Gate Lodge and ate here several times and everything I had was delicious with the most friendly service. Definitely a must stop after viewing the Lamar Valley. My only complaint is that they aren't open for dinner.

Stopped in at the Log Cabin Restaurant in Silver Gate this morning, for a little Father’s Day breakfast and wow — the biscuits and gravy were next level. Fluffy, biscuits smothered in rich, savory gravy that had just the right kick of seasoning. Comfort food perfection. And my coffee was strong, hot, and fresh — exactly what you want on a crisp mountain morning. The cozy, rustic vibe of the place made it feel like breakfast at a friend’s cabin. If you’re anywhere near the northeast gate of Yellowstone, this place is a must-stop.
We randomly stopped in for lunch after cruising Lamar Valley and WOW what a treat! The food is all fresh ingredients made that day. The trout caught from the local river was unbelievable, burger was foodie heaven, even the coffee...the coffee! Was amazing! Staff was amazing, so friendly- maybe it was us but I felt like we were regulars there with the way we were treated. Can't say enough good things, we will be back!
This is a really great spot. Tasty food, great service and good for food allergies also! Highly recommend if passing!
Such an unexpected yet pleasant dining experience. The entire staff was super friendly and the food was awesome. My boys had the log cabin burgers with tallow fries, and I had the trout. The desserts looked delicious, yet we were too full to partake, but the coffee was very tasty.
We HIGHLY recommend a stop here if you're passing through.
This is the most amazing breakfast place. It is under new ownership and the new owners are wonderful! The food is incredible. Best orange juice I’ve ever had and I’m from Florida!!
