Bring snacks and plan on waiting at least 1.5 hours after you've ordered to get your food. Even if it's a beautiful evening, sit inside because it will be cold and dark before your meal arrives. Full sized salad was not full sized, a single layer of greens on a plate. Filet mignon was decent, chicken dish was good. Server tried to make it right by giving discount and free dessert, but the ridiculously long wait made for a disappointing experience.

I stopped here on my way back to Kalispell on a work trip. Glad I did! I got the polish cutlet with the potato salad and slaw. All three were fantastic and the wait was minimal. Do yourself a favor and stop here if you need a quick lunch or dinner! You won’t regret it!

We were a party of 4 adults and 1 child. On a Sunday evening which wasn't overly busy it took 2 hours from the time we were seated until we left. We did have reservations so our arrival should have been expected. When we got there, a bit early, they were still setting up the dining room and we were asked to wait outside or at the bar until they were finished. The service was terrible. It took forever for the food to arrive. Then 3 orders came but 2 people were left waiting for their food 5 more minutes. I had to forgo manners and eat or my meal would have been totally cold by the time everyone was served. The server forgot to bring the bar drinks people had ordered with their meal and needed to be called over. On the positive side everyone enjoyed what they ordered, although they did say their daily special was smoked ribs and I am pretty sure I got their main menu entrée of short ribs. Because of the limited dining options in the area we would probably go back and hope for a better experience next time.

Little food truck place with the best schnitzel and polish sausage I've ever had. Great service. Shame the county (or whoever) is giving them grief about how they can't have chairs and tables near a food truck. Gotta come back here every time I'm in the area!

Our server was attentive, communicative and helpful, and the food was delicious. My issue is the cheap patio furniture, lack of adequate shade on the patio and the owner's unwillingness to help us make shade for a baby. When someone from the band tried to help us angle our umbrella, she yelled at him. She then explained she doesn't like the umbrellas angled for safety concerns. The only option she gave us for shade was to move us inside. However, two other tables had angled umbrellas and one of them had taken the umbrella that would have given our table shade. Having sturdy furniture and umbrella stands would take away all safety concerns. I'd be more forgiving of their setup and wouldn't be so miffed if she had been polite about it and treated all tables equally. I won't be returning without a formal apology.

Very disappointed... We discovered this gem two years ago and have been waiting to go back. Positives - Beautiful views, live music, and the food was very good. Unfortunately, we arrived at our 6:45 reservation and had ordered dinner by 7:00. Then we waited and WAITED. Our server barely checked on us. Our food arrived at 8:45. Two hours! The prices are very high. There was no compensation, no offer of some bread or complimentary appetizer. We just sat there in rather uncomfortable metal chairs. Suggestion - Eat dinner before you go. Go for the music and some beverages. Perhaps they need to rethink the menu and stick with something faster and cheaper. Over $100 for 2 entrees and 2 wines is A LOT.
Highlander truck never ceases to amaze. Fave food truck in the Helena area. Been there twice and both had tender, flavorful, and well presented food. Boyfriend approved.

We brought our extended family there for Father's Day dinner and it was fantastic. Service, drinks, atmosphere and food were wonderful...have the Asada if it's on the menu. I highly recommend Highlander Bat & Grill. Make sure to Golf while you are out there as well

First off, I want to say that I've been a fan of Highlander Taste since they first brought their truck to downtown Helena. Authentic Polish food? In HELENA?! They've served me and my friends delicious meals that are made with love and care for years now, and it's always worth a stop on Canyon Ferry Rd to see Joanna and her wonderful family.
In addition to their regular food truck offerings, they are some of the best caterers in Helena. They can accommodate just about any dietary restrictions, and what they create is always filling, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared! They make the absolute most out of any budget. They're prompt, friendly, and overall a dream to work with.
For my wedding, they did a gorgeous traditional Polish Highlander meat table. There was truly something for everyone, including pierogi, paszteciki, fruit, cheese, gluten-free bread, and spreads. We had no leftovers, it was that good!
Highlander Taste is a real treasure. When you see them, you've gotta stop and give them a try! Get the schnitzel, pierogi, and Polish slaw.

Made reservations for Saturday Night which happened to be the kick off of their music on the patio. Music was good! Food was great! Ordered from the seafood menu. Service was outstanding. Beer was a little warm.
