I love this gem. If you can get in on a day that it is actually open you are in for a treat. Unfortunately recently it has not been open on it’s posted hours of operation. It’s a little drive if you’re planning to dine from outside the East Helena Area. My suggestion is if you happen to have a friend that lives in the area have them check for you. This restaurant is so good that you can rarely get a call through! I again say I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!

The food is great, when you can get. Third time recently we drive out there only to find out they are closed. Their hours are so limited anyway that surprise closures are a real disappointment. GGRRR. It would be nice if they could post this somewhere or something.

Do not order from here. Our takeout order which was 2 orders of chicken came completely raw, it was seared on the outside that’s it. I’ve never felt so grossed out in my life. They insured us a full refund and I will be reporting this to the board of health.

Opinion of all those who ate was boneless chicken was bland, rice was OK, and egg rolls were good until you bit into rock hard, pebble-like, unidentifiable crunchy insides.Also ordered Kung Poa Chicken, but was given Chow Gai Kow instead. The folks who ate this entre said it was not good. Lacked flavor. More veggies than meat.Won't return. Wasn't worth $40.

I show up at 7:30 Saturday night and they tell me they are closed when it shows they are open till eight. I get home and read the reviews. I’m glad I did not get to eat there now and won’t go back.

We just came from here and the food, service, cleanliness and atmosphere was great!We ordered and the food was very warm when we got it, just like I like my food, quick service and the restaurant was packed. The worst I've ever had in my 73 years of life. Pork fried rice was a 3/4 full carton of dried up rice with a very few slices of pork. It was awful!!!Other meals we took out were less than standard, no flavor, absolutely tasteless.Total waste of money and time.
This was some of the worst food I have eaten. Ingredients in the eggroll were unidentifiable. BBQ pork was home cooked crispy chunks of burnt pork. This place really needs to be inspected. They are open so few days that the food is not fresh. YatSon's has been a name in this area for many years. It is sad to have had this experience. I understand one man runs this place, there is no excuse for bad food. Service yes but not food. I am sorry but this will not be a repeat nor a referral.

Very nice staff and great service. Comfy atmosphere like a home town cafe which was odd for a Chinese place but it worked. Prices were very reasonable.However the food was just ok. I think most of it was homemade like the egg rolls and won tons which was a plus but they were just average.I had some chow mein and it was mostly celery and a couple water chestnuts. The wife got chicken almond sub gum and the veggies were all celery. The egg fu yung was tasty but was just not awesome like I would expect being homemade.

One of the oldest businesses in Helena. They are cash or check only, and are just open for dinner 3 days a week. But, what do you expect when one guy runs the place?! Jeff is awesome, and his many years in the kitchen is evident with his delicious food!
