We had the calamari, elk, duck, walleye, and bison. Calamari steaks were very flavorful and tender! Elk was very tender but not seasoned well and had a bland sugary glaze. Duck and walleye were tender and were accompanied with amazing sauces/sides. Waiter informed us the fish was from Canada, but it still tasted great. Bison was a little chewy, not seasoned, and had a bland chimichurri sauce. Outdoor seating was nice with the wind but got very loud with multiple dining guests. Very expensive, but I would return for the calamari, duck and walleye for special occasions.

The appetizer meal and dessert were all less than desirable. The wallye bites were deep fried and overcooked. The smoked salmon was extremely dry, and the lady fingers in the teramasu were not dipped and dry. It also tasted like Hershey syrup drizzle. Not what I expected from such a highly rated place.

I love this restaurant!! Chef John is amazing, and his passion for food is evident! Everything I've had here has been delicious, especially the desserts: chocolate cake is to die for and just tried the biscuits and whiskey dessert...I mean, what's not to love!?!?
A Culinary Gem in Ennis!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Continental Divide in Ennis, Montana, and I can confidently say it's one of the best culinary experiences I've ever had. If you're a fan of amazing dishes like bison and crab legs…this is the place to be!
First off, let’s talk about the bison. It was hands down the best I have ever tasted! Tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, every bite melted in my mouth. The chef truly knows how to bring out the natural flavor—it's a must-try dish!
Now, onto the Alaskan crab legs. Wow! They were out of this world! Fresh, succulent, and served with a delicious side …they were simply irresistible. My wife and I couldn't get enough!
But what truly set Continental Divide apart was the outstanding customer service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about our dining experience. We felt welcomed from the moment we walked in until the last bite of dessert.
If you find yourself in Ennis, don't miss the opportunity to indulge in what I believe is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had…. I can't wait to return!
For being in the middle of no where, i was pleasantly surprised at how fine of dining this was. I would recommend this place to anyone. Food was really good. It had everything you'd expect at a high end diner.
We love eating here, it's always a great experience.
Love, love, LOVE this spot. The entire staff is welcoming and knowledgeable, the chef cooks with so much passion you can taste it. We’ve been here multiple times, and got different things each time and loved it all!
The absolute best food you can find!
When you find an incredible local restaurant, there’s really nothing better! We loved the lettuce wraps, wine soaked pear salad, ribs and Waygu courses. The desert was also off the charts! Chef John, thank you for an incredible dinner experience!

From southwestern pennsyltucky. 50 years old. The Benntly burger was the BEST BURGER IVE EATEN IN MY LIFE!!! Phenomenal.
Hor-ri-ble. Absolutely horrid. Looking out over a trailer park you can eat 4 uncooked scallops for 52$ or 2 uncooked elk chops for $75 or nasty over fried walleye bites appetizer for $25. I'm surprised they didn't charge for bread and water... WHAT A JOKE. Beyond inedible, dude cumin spice does not go with everything go back to cooking school or find a new profession. Don't go here unless u like to throw your $$ down the toilet. Only saving grace are the waitresses who are great. Not their fault the cook is educationally challenged.

What an absolute joke of a place—but also not surprising for “fine dining” in the middle of nowhere. There were 3 of us. We ordered a beet salad, the duck, and halibut. The beets were nowhere to be found in the salad—ok fine, there was two thin slices, and that’s being generous. The duck was over done even though my husband asked for medium rare. The halibut looked decent. We also waited over an hour for our food which was unbelievable given that the dining room was not even half full. The only good thing about this place were the staff who were really sweet. They may be understaffed? No idea. But service was just painstakingly slow for a Tuesday evening. Oh, and the bill came out to be $150 before tips. Yeeeeesh. All that said, we could’ve driven back to Big Sky and gotten dinner elsewhere in the time we waited for our food. Never again.
