Where to begin! The food was delicious. The service was fabulous. Front desk staff was one lady who was so cheerful and welcoming. Our waitress was super friendly and just happy. Our bartender was PHENOMENAL. I asked for a drink that they didn't have the specific liquor for and she searched online and made me the most amazing Appletini seemingly out of thin air. She was extra knowledgeable and shared the history of Ennis with us, including Native history and ghost stories. Our room was extra cute, clean and just perfect!
It was a fun place to stay. Good location that was within walking distance to a store.
Great food
Service was great. Bed not comfortable.
This one of the best and quietest motels ever. Not new, but very clean and well kept properties in Ennis and surrounding areas. The Sportsman’s restaurant was incredible, with large tasty portions and service that left us totally WOWWWWWWED. This was such a great and pleasant xsurprise we just want to say Ten Thousand Thank Yous,

Great food!
I rarely post reviews on Google. However, I stayed at Sportsman’s Lodge with my family last night and I don’t want anyone to experience what we did. We actually booked for tonight too, but we turned our keys in early and left. We’d rather lose the money than stay another night here.
Aside from the mold on the ceiling in the shower, the sandy feeling in our sheets, the dirty floors and the really hot rooms, the walls are paper-thin.
We were booked with a shared wall next to another family and heard ALL the things going on next door. One of them locked the other out around 1:30am, so the person who was locked out decided to POUND on the front door excessively, while yelling VERY loudly and “colorfully”. When their partner didn’t open the door, they went around back and pounded on the windows, yelling more very colorful words, waking up our young daughter who learned said colorful words, thanks to this person. This then triggered their two dogs to bark repeatedly…. Wait, it’s not over…
Around 2:30am, an angry man then came into their room, slamming the door shut so loudly, that it triggered more dog barking. They had another very loud argument (yes, I could hear everything word for word), and it resulted in the male leaving and slamming the door, yet again. Then the female left (assuming to look for the male just based on the conversation that I could hear every word of) and one or both of them returned around 3am and finally went to bed. I got three hours of sleep, and I will NEVER stay at this hotel again.
I don’t wish anything bad on this hotel— I hope y’all read this and are aware of what happened and address the cleanliness and mold. We stopped by to turn in our keys and let you know about this, however, the office wasn’t open.
If you’re the family who stayed next to us last night and see this on the internet: DO BETTER, y’all were so disrespectful.
It’s cheaper to drink at the Yellowstone club than it is at the sportsman‘s lounge there days. Prices are skyrocketing but quality and consistency are tanking. If it weren’t for my bar tender Katie I would not keep coming in.
Clean.
Rustic.
We had the best time staying with Kenny and Bonnie they sure know how to make you feel welcome and we will never forget them and their amazing place can’t wait to come back !!!Food is amazing too!!!!

We thought we would stop for a quick lunch. Our server was very friendly. We ordered the specials, which were the Bison Chili and the Griiled Cheese and Tomato Basil soup. My friend said the chili tasted great. I thought the grilled cheese with bacon and tomato tasted great. My other friend said the soup was terrible. It was more like a marina sauce that could be served over noodles versus a tomato soup. There was only one other table in the restaurant other than us at the time.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sportsman’s Lodge in Melrose. The room was well appointed and comfortable. I slept so deeply after a day of adventuring in the area. The shower water got good and hot and the water pressure was phenomenal. My husband stays in hotels for work all the time and he was impressed.
Great food very friendly people located close to family dollar and a grocery store
We didn't stay so I couldn't say what the rooms were. Great burger! I wish I had taken a picture. The meat was thick, tender, and fresh. The fries were pretty tasty, too. Good selection of Montana beers. Our only suggestion would be a nice deli pickle spear would have been 👌.
We drove in from Ennis and called ahead. When we showed up we had to seat ourselves however the waitress saw us and said that we had to many people and she already had a 15 top and a 7 top. So we split the family into two groups and sat at the booths. The waitress took forever to get our drink orders and then kept telling us she could only handle doing one thing at a time. We finally got our drinks and when we received the appetizer it was 1/4 filled with what could only be described as melted cheese with some salsa on top there wasn’t even enough in the bowl to feed 1 person let alone 4. The food came out sporadically and the kids should have received there meals first however the waitress was busy on her phone and orders were sitting. The chicken fried steak was dry and over cooked my son ate it because he doesn’t like to complain however he did say it was disgusting after trying it I agreed. My youngest son ordered the chicken Parm the chicken was completely black and burned and the noodles weren’t even cooked. The waitress offered to take the meal off and make a new one however at this point everyone received there food accept my youngest child so I gave him my meal and waited another 15 to 20 minutes for my food to finally show up at this point my whole family was done eating and ready to go. The waitress did not clear any of the tables if empty dishes and other tables were left dirty with plates and cups also present which is shocking because she had time to bus tables when we walked in there was the 7 top with only a family of 4 present and then a family of 3 I believe she was either on her phone or in the bar. The food and service was not worth the price we had to pay for it and my family will never come here again. If I could give them negative stars I would. We are Montanans not some out of state tourists and this was unacceptable especially for what it cost. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. I had to bus and clean 4 tables as I was leaving because the waitress hadn’t done so and more people started showing up. I would have asked to speak to a manager but at that point I was so angry I had to leave. I would like to add that even though my family separated itself into two separate booths the waitress still charged a gratuity charge that they add for large parties which blew my mind considering the service was horrible the food was horrible and the waitress knew she was messing up. There needs to be new management or retraining for the staff. The cooks don’t know how to work a lien or read tickets and one point the waitress told us we had to wait to place orders because her cooks got overwhelmed if she placed more than 1 order at a time.
