Great ranch setting...right on the Gallatin River...surrounded by mountains...friendly staff...easy to experience Western lifestyle
This location offers absolutely breathtaking views all around you. The cabin we stayed in was so cute, the beds were comfortable and clean and was more than enough room. The outside offered a beautiful view with a front porch and a charcoal grill (with grilling utensils). My trip was during the off-season so unfortunately the horse rides, fly fishing and activities weren't available. The restaurant still offered daily breakfast and their staff on site were so friendly and welcoming. This location was about 45 minutes from West yellowstone entrance but also offered National Forest land on your drive to and from. About 20 minutes from Big Sky that had a lot of options for shopping and amazing food. I would absolutely recommend staying here.
320 Guest Ranch was a wonderful experience for my two friends and me for our vacation to Montana in mid September. The cabins were great and pictures/description were spot on. There were plenty of towels and nice soap, shampoo, and conditioner provided in the bathroom. It was charming and had everything we needed. The hot breakfasts were a very nice addition, and were good with a nice variety. The ranch was about a 45 minute drive to the West entrance to Yellowstone, which was convenient. We enjoyed the picnic table in the yard to sit and star gaze each night. Amazing! We also loved having a wood-burning fireplace in our cabin, and wood was provided! During our stay, we did two different trail rides with Heather as our guide both times! This lady is absolutely an amazing human being! We loved her! ❤️ She was a wealth of information about the horses, wildlife, history, and landscape of the area. It was obvious that she loves and appreciates the opportunity to share her love of all those things with others. The trail rides were wonderful with a beautiful landscape and wonderful horses. The horses were well trained and super sweet. The stable seemed to run like a well-oiled machine under the care of David, a real cowboy! Dillon and Jack were very helpful to us as well. We loved the ranch experience, and would stay there again if we are blessed with another chance to visit that gorgeous area!
We stayed at the ranch in September for our sons wedding. What a stunning venue! The staff was very accommodating & friendly, breakfasts delicious and our cabin clean and comfortable. Amazing views!
Fantastic staff! Fabulous food! Awesome views everywhere you look! It was a memorable 5 days. Highly recommend this place
Me and my wife stayed for 4 nights in a cabin with kitchen. The cabin had everything we needed and the bathroom was nice. Everything was neat and clean.
The location is amazing, we definitely recommend doing a horse trail as it is so much fun and they really care about their horses. Having dinner at the restaurant is also a must-do! (Tip: the bison short ribs are excellent!)
Breakfast was great to with loads of different choices.
Great place to stay and i hope we can return someday!
Review is for the horseback riding only (didnt stay on site unfortunately).
I did the 1/2 day horseback riding excursion with 302 and WOW. Truly was the highlight of my trip and I will recommend to everyone. The guide was so fun to hangout with for the morning (very knowledgeable and easy to talk to), the views were amazing and it felt like more than your average trail ride.
The Ranch is a piece of heaven! It is absolutely beautiful and so well kept. The staff is so helpful, and kind. The activities like horseback riding and fly fishing are amazing. Their dining experience is incredible. They offer different assortments of breakfast options every day. Dinner is world class . I highly recommend this resort for your true Montana experience.
We stayed at 320 guest ranch for 2 nights on a 5 Day birthday trip from Bozeman through Yellowstone and to Jackson. We had planned to get on a horse but everything wss booked. It was September on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Be warned! When they tell you to make reservations they aren't kidding. We tried 6 other places from Big Sky to West Yellowstone and all were booked out for a week. There isnt a down season out here so listen when they tell you reserve your ride. So we made lemonade and went for a hike behind our cabin instead, it was beautiful and peaceful in the mountains.
The cabins are clean, comfortable and quiet.
The bedding is great, the food at the restaurant is amazing, brekfast is reason enough to stay here. The staff are so great, every person was accommodating and nice. If you like to fly fish they have probably a quarter mile of frontage along the Gallatin River, there's also a stocked pond on site where they give lessons.
This is a working horse ranch and you can watch the ranch hands herd the horses every morning to the lower pasture. The larger house and cabins look like they are very nice, we plan to bring the family out next summer and stay at the house.
I will be back and I hope you visit as well. 320 was one of the favorite parts of my birthday trip.
Loved 320! Beautiful setting. Definitely genuine Montana. Food was excellent! Brett was a champ at fly fishing instruction. Everyone helpful and as pleasant as the scenery. Got used to no TV. A good thing really. Room needed a table and an extra chair. Really no place in there but to sleep and make a cup of joe. Would certainly recommend.

The ranch looked lovely when we arrived, but we didn't stay there. We just came for a fly casting lesson on the pond. I don't remember our instructor's name, but he was from Tennessee and he was wonderful. Fly casting is a difficult skill to learn, but he had my wife and I both doing rudimentary casts within the hour. She even caught a fish! We had a lot of fun learning the basics and would definitely recommend this to anyone who's curious about fly fishing.
Absolutely Beautiful scenery, peaceful, fresh air
We loved our stay at this ranch. It is conveniently located by the highway, and has a very large area to walk around and enjoy the nature. The evening fire pit is a great place to hang out as well for anyone. The food at the restaurant is delicious! Hopefully we can return here again, but for more than just one night.
320 Guest Ranch is a dream! The location is perfect and absolutely beautiful. All of the staff are friendly, helpful, and kind. We stayed in the Riverfront Cabins and they were perfect for my family. There is something there for everyone; hiking, horseback riding, fishing, walking, relaxing, great food! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit the Big Sky area!
We traveled with our entire family (11 of us, ages 3-63) to Montana and spent 3 nights at 320 Guest Ranch. It was a wonderful experience for us! Our 3 bedroom log home was somewhat basic but had everything we needed/wanted.We spent many hours on the big front porch enjoying each other and the wilderness around us. We played lots of games (we brought some of our own but they did have a VERY few in the cabin) at the large kitchen table. The beds were all a bit hard, but some actually preferred that.
Some of us did a one hour trail ride and had a great time! Our wrangler was awesome! (Forgot her name.) A few others did the fly-fishing lesson in the pond on the premises. This too was very enjoyable. (They did help the younger ones catch fish by throwing in a little fish food, this obviously added to the excitement.) We all enjoyed the Porch Picnic, (great food, great music!) and the Chuckwagon BBQ, (excellent food, awesome location). The breakfast every morning was outstanding and the dining room staff was always friendly and helpful. If there was anything that wasn't up to snuff it would be the front desk staff. Several times I ended up at the front desk and each time (3 different employees) I was greeted with a lukewarm attitude. Questions or concerns were always answered but there absolutely was no fanfare in the process. :)
The littles loved having a playground on the property, as well as the basketball hoop. We all enjoyed trying to wrangle the metal horse replica. Several of us got up early one morning to watch the wranglers bring the horses across the road in the morning. (They pasture the horses across the street on the mountain overnight). That was a neat sight to see..., 60 horses and several wranglers cantering across the property on a sunny but frosty Montana morning.
The beautiful Gallatin runs through the property which adds to it's overall beauty. We would absolutely consider staying at the 320 Guest Ranch again.
