We loved this place when Rob & Mike had it. New owners have made it terrible. Overpriced and tasteless food. They seem to only care about MONEY and not the quality of the food they provide their customers. We will NOT be back.

We have been long time customers, that being said this time was quite disappointing. Surprised that the quality has declined. We were one of three tables, ten guests in the dining area. The wait staff seemed attentive however we waited no less than three different times for different things. The steaks were cooked perfectly however didn’t have the flavor that historically was a trademark of this establishment. Overall quality just wasn’t at the level it could be. This is in my opinion unfortunate, the Bar-S has been a staple of high quality dining for years.

New hours...11:00 to 2:00 T-F. Small sign on the door. Says it's due to labor shortage...grrrrr.
Food was great. Service, however, was extremely poor. Bartender could definitely use some training & the same applies to the waitresses. I took a friend there at 5 pm. We were served 1 drink and dinner. At 7 pm, we finally got the check & left. I dine there once a week. It was a total different story when James was there!!

It was fairly late on a Thursday evening but not terribly busy. We had the nicest server who shared with us that ownership had recently changed. The overall feel of the place is western themed and a little dated. The tables in the bar area are all high-top which is not comfortable for us, which is why we went to the dining room. The poor man burnt ends are made from leftover prime rib and we're very good. The Hubbs ordered prime rib which was pretty good. The salads are fresh. I got the fish and chips. Plentiful, but definitely from frozen. The house chips were good.
