Bummed they were out of many items at 6pm on a Sunday. What we had was good though.
If I could give this place a 0, I would without a second thought. I’ll my husband and I decided to have a nice dinner on our wedding night with our friends who flew out of state for the weekend. The service was horrible, when I asked for water the waitress huffed and said “take a look at the table. Waters already there. Next person”. First interaction, and I was ready to leave. My husband ordered a beer on tap, it tasted like it was super old and had been sitting. Same with the glass of moscato we ordered. It tasted like rotten apple juice. My meal came with the salad bar, the cheese had to be cut myself. No other options besides block cheese. I ordered the country fried chicken steak, be aware their gravy is brown gravy, that tastes and looks like it comes out of a can. I cut into my food and you couldn’t tell if I was eating breading or the meat, it was just all mush. The broccoli was gross, no seasoning and tasted rotten as well. My friend ordered the sirloin and the waitress brought out a country fried steak, she was angry when we corrected her bringing the wrong dish out. Her steak then comes out with thick charcoal coated on the steak and rare (she wanted medium) so it was obviously rushed. Collectively, for 5 people to eat MAYBE one bite of their food, the bill was absolutely NOT worth it. I felt like I was eating banquet food for the price of a high end restaurant. A waste of a wedding night dinner, and a waste of money. I was humiliated bringing my family here.
I was excited to try Cattleman’s. Will never go back. We arrived just before 8 on a Saturday. The person who greeted us sat us quickly no problem. They were not very busy. Only a couple other tables in the room we were in. Ordered an appetizer. Server turned away and didn’t listen if there was a second appetizer and did not take our order. One of our table had to flag her down to have our order taken. Never received our appetizer. Bathroom and hallway to bathroom smelled like a sewage leak. After waiting 45 minutes we decided to leave and that’s when our food miraculously appeared. Still no appetizer. Asked for the check and the server responded with “do you want to see the desert menu?” Food was meh.
Went there for Mother's Day and didn't need to have a reservation.
Great food and service. Love when restaurants keep water on the table for you.
It was Mother's Day meal time. We were seated and waiting for our server. After 30 minutes of waiting, we asked the best server they had if we could get some help. She said that we were not sitting at one of her tables but that she would take care of us. She made the whole meal enjoyable. The food was fabulous. The cooks out did themselves.
Excellent food! Great service as always
The ribeye while cooked to medium rare was mostly tough and completely lacked any seasoning. At the price they charge it certainly didn't meet expectations.
Always delicious. Service is top notch
My husband and I are visiting Great Falls. The restaurant is close to the hotel where we are staying so it just made sense to eat here. Our friend who lives in the area said he has not heard good things about the restaurant; however, he has never eaten here. I like to learn for myself so I convinced my husband to have dinner here on our last night in Great Falls.
Other than the friendly host not being at his station when we arrived (he apologized and made up for it with his charm), we really had a good experience. Thank you, David for being such an attentive server. The salad bar was well stocked with fresh items. The block of cheddar cheese is such a novel idea. I love the idea of the bread drawer with various types of bread. Genius! My husband ordered and enjoyed a cheeseburger. I ordered and enjoyed filet mignon and sweet potatoes. My steak was cooked to perfection. Being from North Carolina, I have had my fair share of sweet potatoes (it is our state vegetable); but your sweet potato dish is the best I have eaten in a very long time. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.
Restaurantji Recommends
Not a fan. EXPENSIVE as heck. Our server did not seem the least bit interested in serving us. Steak came out overdone and the prawns were basically batter. I personally do not recommend especially for the price
Told ourselves back in 2020 that we would not return, due to the parents birthdays we decided to try it again after 5 years, and once again we are back to not returning. Ordered the parmesan crusted halibut I got grilled halibut, then was told they could just bring me some parmesan cheese to sprinkle on top when I mentioned it was wrong. Was also told we could use a coupon we had prior to ordering only to be denied the use of the coupon upon paying the bill. Not worth the time or money.
We were highly disappointed with the steak.
This place has awful food. Do not recommend. READ REVIEWS & REPLIES. The owner replying to these reviews makes excuses for nasty food and obviously does not take accountability. I am appalled at this establishment. We visited 2 weeks ago and ordered the prime rib which was inedible. And before the keyboard warrior replies, it was not worth our time to have a replacement or refund. We sucked up our pride and paid for the meal not to cause a ruckus. Not to mention; you go to steakhouse expecting quality steak. Lost cause after losing our appetite. Yes, we could have told our server, that was our fault but did not want to be crying “karen’s” when they were so busy. Needless to say, take your business elsewhere. Excited to see the reply the *not so lovely* owner comes up with now.
Cattleman’s Cut has been around for quite some time, and I always remembered it being a very nice place to eat as a kid when it was out by Vaughn. Good food and hospitality. I never write reviews, but tonight I feel the need to. I ordered the prime rib medium rare, with a loaded baked potato. We also ordered the shrimp appetizer and mozzarella sticks. The appetizers were good, no complaints there. The prime rib though, I don’t think I’ve ever had prime rib I’ve never wanted to finish. It was tough, unseasoned, bland, and the outer edges that are usually the best parts and crispy seemed to have an almost boiled texture and had no flavor at all. The baked potato was also undercooked. Our waitress was nice, no faults there either. The food was just lacking in all departments, and every comment I’ve ever seen people make that say the same thing the owner writes a nasty biased reply taking unprofessional jabs at the customer. Sad to say, I don’t think I’ll ever be back unless they do some serious revamping to the way they prepare their food. Not worth it for the price you pay, you’re better off going to Jakers or Kobe.
