Ordered food to go. They were fairly busy for the amount of staff available, but still took time to take our to-go order. Good food. Enjoyed it very much!

The place was empty when we went for a Saturday lunch. Food was extremely fast and tasty.

Food was decent. Waitress was nice. We were shocked to learn that chips are an EXTRA $3 and salsa is an EXTRA charge as well. First time in 40 years of eating at mexican restaurants that the chips and salsa was NOT included with the meal!! Also be aware that their is some sort of card charge on your bill as well. No charge paying with cash, but whonpays with cash these days!! FYI 9th ST Taco across the lot has FREE CHIPS & SALSA LOL!!!

Other restaurants have tried but Maria's has no competition. They aren't inexpensive, but the food is amazing and authentic.

Terrible service the waitress made mistakes and when I kindly reminded her that I didn’t order beans and I was sorry but I asked for rice she went to the kitchen and threw the plate on my table , they don’t go over the additional charges on the bill , the food was very plane flavored but we ate it and paid for it , we talked to the owner and she was kind , as we were talking to her that rude waitress came to confront my husband and raised her voice , Terrible service , we should have read the reviews before coming in and have a terrible time. , we will never go back

Food is bad. They need to learn how to season their meat. Server was rude and not attentive. Place is trashy. Had hoped to find some good Mexican food since I moved here from San Diego. This place is DEFINITELY not mexican food. Taco bell is more authentic.

Terrible service cancels out the good food

I’ve been here three times. The food was good each time and the service the first two times was good with friendly servers.

Today was my daughter’s birthday and we wanted to share this good restaurant with my children and my grandchildren.

We had four adults and two young kids with good behavior, who shared one meal between them, and a sleeping infant.

This third experience was very different than the first two. We had a different server who was older with dark hair and no name tag. She seemed to target my daughter right from the beginning for no apparent reason and treated her VERY rudely. She refused to talk to her or respond to her when she tried to order, and continued to treat her this way each time she came to the table. I was astounded at her apparent aggression and rudeness and was not surprised that she wore no nametag.

Then came the bill
. Unlike the first two visits we had here, she charged us for the chips and for the salsa. She also charged a 20% tip for herself and when we asked about it she said that was standard for a table of 6 or more. We asked if she normally counts young children who share one meal in the count and she said it was because we used a six person table.

I am just dumbfounded at how terrible she treated us and how she seemed to think she’d face no consequences for doing it. Maybe she was the owner, I don’t know
but I do know I will never go back!

The place looks great and they look like they are doing some kind of upgrade outside. We were greeted immediately and served quick. The prices were high for what you get. I got the carne asada and my companion got a chili verde burrito. The food was BLAND! Our beer and the (canned?) beans were the only thing with any flavor at all. For $20/plate, I was seriously disappointed. My dog was overjoyed with nearly a full plate of asada for dinner, though!

Food was decent for the price, but when asking for no beans there still were traces of beans throughout the rest of the meal. I'm not wanting to say they reuse food, but they at least reuse the same dishware to dole out portions it seems.

Not helped by the rice being both soggy and dry, and the burrito felt like it had been prepared earlier and kept under a hot lamp.

The one soda refill was also used up when I still had half a (heavily iced) cup. Probably would have had the same amount as a can of soda.
