Personally I'm thinking that they have a problem with the heat control with the boiler system or the air circulation system we stopped here for two different stays in a two week period. One room was super hot but we were able to control it by keeping the blower fan off and opening the window. The next stay the unit only pumped cold air to the room and it took a couple complaint trips to the front desk before they gave us an industrial grade space heater to stay warm for our stay.Rooms: The rooms have preserved the retro feel of an era gone by without sacrificing quality. I'd describe it quiet except on the weekends when the Sip and Dip Lounge has karaoke or live music playing thankfully it's usually quiet again around 10:30pm then for a brief time you have loud drunk guests walking down the hallway for a brief period.Nearby activities: A pawn shop is right across the street and there's easily several restaurants and cocktail bars within walking distance as well as many other small downtown businesses.Safety: The hotel feels pretty secure with its own parking garage, modern security cameras and electronic door locks.Walkability: Many businesses are in walking distance of the hotel. It also has its own bar and restaurant with breakfast meal tickets.Food & drinks: Tried the delicious Blue Hawaiian cocktail at the bar!

This nostalgic hotel in Great Falls is getting renovated. The rooms are being updated. Ours was very clean, was decent sized, and we enjoyed our stay. The people at the front desk were awesome. Overall, enjoyed our time here.

If you drive a taller vehicle, like a truck, you’ll have to park in the lower lot, you won’t have enough clearance in the upper lot. I stayed here on a federal holiday and weekday, Monday (Labor Day). The lounge and swimming pool were closed. I get that, so I did not get to experience those things unfortunately. My review comes solely from the Inn itself. The rooms are older but for the most part clean! I had to lint roll my sheets because of hair.. With the hotel being older I will say the walls are thin and you can hear pretty much everything. Others alarms going off and doors opening/closing. I will be staying here again when the lounge is open on a weekend. I’m sure after I have a few drinks in me I won’t mind any noise. ? The complimentary duck idea is awesome and the free breakfast at the restaurant was great. If you do stay here, keep all of your valuables with you. I feel like my car would have been broken into if someone saw anything in it.EDIT *Stayed here again today and everything was phenomenal. No hair on the sheets, it was nice and quiet and I got to experience the lounge!*

Very cool independent motel. Great service. The bar should not have Mainstream News (especially CNN!) on the TVs.

Nice place because of the restaurant and the lounge. The rooms are extremely dated and cramped.Rooms: Small, very dated rooms, could greatly benefit from some updating!Food & drinks: Restaurant and lounge are wonderful! Obviously what keeps this place alive!

This is a hotel built in the 60s, and well maintained by the family, who has tried to keep the ambiance of when it was built, while modernizing the room amenities to some extent. Very comfortable rooms, but be sure to ask for one with a desk in you need one, since they don't all have desks for workspace. The great feature of the Inn is the lounge, which is like a throwback to the Tiki bars of Hawaii in the 60s. It is beautiful. And behind the bar is glass into the pool, where mermaids swim every night. Well worth a visit just to see this. Breakfast is included, and the food is good. Well worth a visit if you are in Great Falls, Montana. I went in July, and will be staying again in August on my way home.

The motel says they have done a Retrovation, it has been done ok but not great. Still feels, smells, and sounds like an old motel.
