Absolutely love this little place. The owners are so nice and the cider is so good and I really don't like cider. But this is delicious. The food is so good and a filling meal. I have a new favorite spot.

We stumbled upon this place during a trip and couldn’t have been happier. The new owners are friendly and attentive. It was great to sit at the bar and enjoy chatting with them. The cider was absolutely delicious and we couldn’t pick a favorite. Interesting new flavors with great classics. Definitely will be going back on our next visit!

The 406 flagship cider is dry (not sweet). I sampled all of the other ciders on tap - noteworthy: pepper cucumber lime and raspberry. Val (owner and brewmaster) is not short of genius with his brewer skills, but I witnessed him solve a rubix cube in 35 seconds while tending bar. This establishment is a keepsake and I was so glad I called to ensure they were open.

Great ciders. Great company! Get the flight and try them all, it'll be worth it.

As a grown man now, one of my fondest childhood memories was me and grandpa out on the farm collecting apples. Grandpa would ferment the apple and make cider. Years have gone by and grandpa is gone now but my love for cider remains the same. Being an invested member in the cider community, I have heard grumblings about Backroad Cider being the top cider bar in the bitterroot valley, with some saying it's the best in the Pacific Northwest. These are large, hefty accusations to make so I needed to test it myself. After many moons, I finally made it into Backroad Cider. I walked in and was greeted with a friendly smile by bar keep/owner Val. Val was cleaning a glass with a bar rag and his friendly smile glistened across the room. The menu consisted of several variety of flavors. I asked Val if he had any ciders with sulfites. Van chuckled lightly and told me I wouldn't find that here. He went on to explain his natural brewing process he hand crafted over 7 years in the industry. As I talked to Val and learned about his goals and aspirations, I had a raspberry and mango cider. I could go on to tell you about the different flavors and aromas spewing from the cider, however it wouldn't do it Justice. This cider blows the competition out of the water. I say competition lightly as varsity shouldn't be playing against JV teams. Val's cider is a 6'2, 225lb 5 star Alabama committed senior linebacker playing against a 9th grade junior varsity player. This stuff is good. Not only is the cider desirable, so is the ambiance. I was half expecting Val to give me a glass of milk and riddles full of wisdom long into the night. I recommend this place 10/10.

If you're looking for a nice small quiet place to just enjoy a few drinks with friends and enjoy excellent ciders without dealing with bar flies or angry drunks, this is the place for you. Their ciders are insanely good, the service is excellent and the cost won't empty your wallet. I can't say enough positives about Backroad Cider. Love it!

Great cider, I sampled two before choosing. Cozy interior with 70's style. Definitely going again. Would have a 5 but they need some munchies to offer.
