This is not your average stop. We’d been here once before, about two years ago, and wanted to come back for a good drink and a bite we missed last time. The place was busy, but they found us a spot upstairs, which gave us a nice view of the room.
The burger was fantastic—caramelized onions and bacon made it even better. Grab a flight while you’re here; the IPAs are excellent. Everything about this stop comes together beautifully. Just off the road, it’s worth visiting whether you’re heading north or south.
You lost our bussiness
GF gal here (not by choice). I had the BBQ Chicken Salad. Hubby had the BLT. Both of our dishes were perfect! Lots of food, decent price. He had a Dirt Church and I had iced tea. A very nice and attentive waiter! We sure wish they’d open one in Dillon, where we live! Beautiful interior. Clean bathrooms. We will go back sometime!
Great food and great service!
I recently had a meal at Bitterroot Brewing in Hamilton, MT. They have a variety of different beers that you can choose from. Personally, I prefer amber beers. They didn’t have one available at the time so I had a lager instead. It was very drinkable. They have a good food selection to choose from. We started our meal with the cheese curds. They were delicious! For my entree I chose the brisket mac and cheese. Very good and very filling! My dinner companion had the Chipotle Chicken Burger. It was also very good. All in all, it was a good dining experience. If you are in the area and want an adult beverage or a meal, I would recommend Bitterroot Brewing to all.
Food was really great. They seem to be having a really hard time with staff this summer and wait times are pretty long. I’ve come a few times this year and it’s always an hour wait at least.
I had the red quinoa bowl. It was amazing with avocado, feta cheese, and lots of flavor. My husband had a hamburger and fries, which was also amazing! Beer was great!
This place rocks great people, great beer and awesome food! Will definitely be back!
Update: This place still rocks, still has great beer, food, and people, and we have been back several times over the last decade!
Best smash burger around!
We visited July 2025. We sat upstairs and it was warm! My husband enjoyed the beer. We ordered the brisket Mac n cheese (could use more brisket in it) and smash burger - both were good. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating you have to order at the bar in the main floor - no table service outside. Parking is tricky - not much available. We got there at 5pm on a Monday night and there were three tables open. When we left at 6pm or so, there was a ton of people waiting to be sat. So get there early!

Food here is always really good but I went a couple weeks ago and they changed the menu I was so disappointed they got rid of the Thai wrap and bowl and my favorite the blueberry burger 🥺 Also they were busy and the lady with the accent behind the bar actually told us if we wanted to leave it was fine with her, not the way to make customers feel welcome or valuable. Disappointed with our experience for sure.
Haven't been to the Brewery in a bit, but when I lived in Hamilton it was my go to for beer. The food options are also great! I also love the Sawtooth Ridge and the Seasonal Huckleberry beer is my favorite during the summer that I always look forward to!
Brisket bowl and brisket tacos are great! Highly recommended! I also appreciated that when my husband and I wanted to split a beer, THEY SPLIT THE BEER FOR US, and served us one beer in two small glasses. Thank you so much you guys that is great service. Cheers!
A chill environment with excellent food, drinks, and service. The food is fresh and flavorful, highly recommend the Berry Good Burger, Parmesan Garlic Fries, and Hamtown Mule. Even the kids chicken strips were the best I've ever had!
The food is some of the best in Montana. Dont be discouraged because the ingredients are out of the ordinary. Cooks know what they are doing. Pick anything on the menu and its good. Beer isnt half bad either.
