I came for an anniversary dinner. The two of us were ushered to a table and sat. And sat. And sat.
Waitresses walked by but no eye contact and no service. There were 7 tables with people, no one on the bottom floor.
A little after 10 minutes sitting, a family group came in. The staff pushed two tables together, sat the family, and brought water and menus. Were were immediately adjacent to this group. We got up and left. As we passed the bar/entry, two of the waitresses on shift were standing together talking and they both said thanks for dropping in and they hoped we enjoyed our dinner. REALLY??!! WOW!!!! INEXCUSABLE!
If I could give NEGATIVE stars, it would be warranted!!

Nikki our server was awesome. She was very kind and she was definitely a shining example of the kind of service the Edge in Hamilton exemplifies. A shout out to Nikki. The food was perfect. I had the beef stroganoff. Like I always have. The best.
Dietary restrictions: I try and eat healthy. The Edge has an assortment of healthy foods

My wife and I went there this evening, Friday, Sept 20th, 2024. My wife had the Beef Strogoffanoff and I had the san maria spaghetti! 10 stars. Out server was Nikki and she was a 20 on a 5 scale. Personal and so pleasant. I've love the edge and it never disappoints! I highly suggest eating here. For a single, couple large group and kid friends. The outside patio is 100% dog friendly. We have brought our English and Neopolitan Mastiffs here as well. You must try this place

I first want to say that this is the second time we ate here. The first time was lunch and food and service was Excellent.
Today the waiter was Very slow, so slow that we were going to pay for our beers and eat elsewhere. It was roughly 45 minutes to take our order.
Then when one of our beers was sent back due to a vinegar taste he argued with us that nothing was wrong with it.
After our meal he again took 30 minutes to bring us the check after we asked for it.

Service was good our waitress was fabulous, the food was good as well, I had a BLT and it was nicely done and they didn’t toast the bread (thank god) I always forget to mention I don’t want my sandwich bread toasted. It was a busy night and we had a large table so our wait was considerably longer than those with 2/4 in their party (we had 6).
8/27/24 update…. Place was packed and drinks took forever to get, 1-1/2 hours to get a second drink, without even asking our tabs came I had to chance someone down to get another drink after dinner. Food was okay, I split and wasn’t fond of the Reuben at all, should have had a BLT lol. Our waitress was dynamite and I totally enjoyed her. She was doing her best to accommodate guest and clearly the restaurant hasn’t tracked trends over a year and can’t keep help maybe. Not enough bar tenders I or wait staff onsite. Everyone I encountered was pleasant, but the small items that are issues for patrons could EASILY be remedied. Good Mango Margaritas that for damn sure. Photos are from the lobby

Lunch selection seemed pretty good. Fish and chips was very good. Hand breaded as stated, filling and tasty. The fish and chips was four stars. Everything else was rated at three stars. Service was alright. Televisions for sports seemed constricted and hard to watch from where we were. I asked our table "why would anyone have a television located above our seating like this?". Prices were a little high compared to other establishments. Generally $17-18 for a burger. Some burger prices were a little higher. Fish and chips is $22. They do have nachos. They were plentiful and tasted alright. The nachos came with an abundant amount of different sauces. Half the establishment seemed to be a liquor store. Tap beer was $4 a pint. Pints are as large as they have. Bathrooms were clean. The Edge was not busy upon our arrival. Very few people...maybe one other couple at best, unless there were more people seated outside that we did not see.

Just called to give a heads up that I had a group of 11 coming. Victoria answered and passed the phone off to the hostess. The hostess picked up and said “yeah there’s no way we’re gonna do that”. She never gave her name and just introduced herself as “the hostess”. Not even an opportunity to sit at different tables, I was just trying to be polite and give a heads up that we were coming. We are in Hamilton for two nights, now they get nothing. This was at 5 o’clock and the restaurant is open till 11. I wasn’t even asked what time we were expecting to, or could come for that matter.
EDIT: the higher ground brewery down the street was slammed and was still able to accommodate us. I definitely recommend sending your business that way.

Was seated and then ignored for 15 min. Last straw was table of elderly patrons seated across from us who immediately got service. Prices are pretty high for bar food. Went to DQ and got better service than here.
