I don’t normally leave reviews. We were passing through Havre in August on our way home to NW Montana and stopped in for lunch. I’m a BBQ “snob” and I’m usually disappointed with restaurant BBQ as I make great smoked meat myself. Suffice to say, this place left me shocked. The brisket sandwich was as good as any that I’ve had and their apple coleslaw should be illegal it was so good. The baked beans were spot on as well. I will definitely be back next time I’m out in that neck of the woods.
I’ve been to a handful of BBQ places around the country. Respectfully, this place is okay at best. The brisket is really fatty and bland same goes for the ribs. Outback Steakhouse has better ribs to make a comparison. The pulled pork is at least good but it’s got way too much BBQ sauce in it. Mac and cheese is a bland. The cornbread is at least good. Overall the food here is just okay. I left disappointed wasting $31 on the triple meat plate.

Just stopped in to feed the kids on our way through town. The food was great, the service was fast, and the atmosphere was fun! Will definitely eat here again!

We got there an hour before closing, which meant we had very very limited options—sucks for us because some of the more popular sides we wanted were gone, this is clearly a popular place. The food was alright though, not bad, but again the options were so limited we didn’t really get what we want and what we did have was solid just not excellent. Great service and atmosphere, but this review is based on food we did have.

It's a walk in the Park-er!
Amazing! Great flavors and service.
We had a 2 meat plate and a pulled pork sandwich. The meat was SO tender. I got a side of spicy sauce and baked beans. A hint of sweet with good amount of heat.
It was beautiful day, so we sat out on their porch and watched cars go by.
Dessert? YES, thanks for asking. Linda whipped us up a banana boat with pudding, cream, and Nilla wafers... Just right to wrap up balanced meal.
We will make Havre a stop on our next road trip.

While most everything tasted pretty well (the slaw was refreshing, mac was a bit gummy/thick, smoked potato salad was great, pork ribs were average, pork belly burnt ends were solid enough flavor wise but dry, turkey was still juicy with a good flavor, and brisket was amazing, tender and juicy), I couldn't help be disappointed with the amount of meats provided with the plate meals. I got the largest available (4 meats and 3 sides supposedly serving 2-3 people) to try as many meats as possible and received one and a half slices of brisket, two pork ribs, three small-medium slices of turkey, and a small bowl of the burnt ends, plus the three sides which also came in small bowls. For almost $50, it really didn't seem like enough for the value. Typically, you'd expect a bit more for that kind of price tag. Maybe they short change you if it is takeout as mine was, though they charge a takeout fee, so I'd hope not.
Overall, was pretty disappointed even though most of the food was at least average or above.

Literally sold me a rotten potato
The only people who think the prices are a bargain are the ones who don't know any better

I had the burnt end sandwich and Mac and cheese. Burnt ends were cold and tasted like jerky cubes! Sauce taste like chili powder. I did go back for a second time to see if they were having a bad day. Not any better. Really don’t recommend it
