Let me start by saying I haven’t even left the building yet. In and out within 30 minutes, food was VERY good, and we are close to popping. It was $50 with tip for 2, but it is very much worth it. Hand pattied sausage, homemade jams, large portions, great waiter/staff. Even bought a jar of the jam.

Come to Carolyn’s hungry because the portions are so big. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito and I ordered the combination. Both meals were super yummy. I couldn’t finish my meal, so my husband finished mine. Great breakfast spot!

Carolyn’s Café in Hungry Horse, Montana is a small, quaint spot tucked next to a convenience store and ATV rental shop, so definitely plan to get there early since seating is limited. Thankfully, we didn’t wait long.
Breakfast was delicious—fluffy pancakes with tasty jams were the highlight, and everything felt fresh and homemade. The cinnamon bread wasn’t my personal favorite, but still enjoyable overall. We were so hungry I didn’t have time to take pictures of the food—only what was left! What really stood out was the service: they only had one waitress handling the whole place, and she was incredible—fast, efficient, friendly, and completely professional.
This is exactly the kind of small-town café you hope to find when traveling. Cozy and welcoming, a must-try when passing through Hungry Horse!
