Wish that I would have taken a photo of the biscuits & gravy, but I didn't :( It was amazing! My wife had the 3 meat chili, bison, beef, & elk, YUMMM! Give this place a try, it's unbelievable...

A great hidden gem. The cafe is located just off Hwy 2 in Hungry Horse. I had the best tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich I've ever tasted. The staff really cares about great customer service and great food. We travel through the are often and plan on making a stop here every time we travel through.

My friends and I went to the Great Bear Cafe for breakfast. It was nice that they were still serving breakfast until 11 since that was what we wanted late on a Saturday morning. There were plenty of options on the menu, and you could also order a la carte items. Our food came out pretty quickly and was very good. The hash browns were cooked just right, as were the eggs and ham. Not too many places get every item right. Everything we got was fresh and delicious comfort food, like having a friend who happens to be a good cook make you breakfast! The staff was very nice and accommodating. I am a Montana native, and the cafe is kind of a comfortable throwback. Mind you, this is winter time, so things are a little more laid back right now. I have been to the cafe in the summer too, and the sandwiches are really good with lots of yummy choices and a deck so that you can eat ouside if you'd like to. Expect more crowds during the other seasons though, because there aren't many restaurants in such close proximity to Glacier National Park. This one is a good choice for locals and tourists alike.

Stopped in here after the ol huckleberry joint across the street was closed during Normal operating hours ? and boy are we glad we did! The elk burgers were amazing, potato soup was awesome and the staff working there was very friendly and helpful. We had a party of 10 and didn't get any kick back when ordering or finding a seat. Next time we visit from Texas, ill be eating here again!

Food Amazing!!! Service outstanding!!!! Ambiance so calm, relaxing, small town cafe feel. We had a little wait but what would you expect when the place is such great food, family owned and operated, and the nicest people we have met so far traveling the amazing place you all call home. Thank you for making my morning great and stuffed.

We stopped in today and had some tasty burgers -- highly recommend the one with "bacon jam" oh yes!The folks working and creating in the kitchen were super friendly -- hi Allie and Garrett and the first gal!In off season they're open on the weekends - so get yourself out there and have some homemade quality grub!

AMAZING! Cozy small town. Private family business! We love supporting those! Went for breakfast .... Will be a tad bit of a wait but if you want fast food , go to McDonald's! This was fresh and worth it. Had the breakfast burrito with bacon! GENEROUS size, great price point and the salsa is to die for! Also had some homemade raspberry jam on an English muffin! Delish! If you're ever in the flathead county area ..... Seek them out and go support! You won't be disappointed
