Wonderful place. The halibut and short rib meal was superb. Our appetizer was 2 huge shrimp, cooked perfectly. Complimentary dessert for our anniversary was a yummy crème brûlée. Drinks were fabulous and the server, Karen was friendly, knowledgeable and truly made us feel special. We will be back to try some other entrees.

Our server, Karen was excellent. The charcuterie board was excellent. The tenderloins tips were skimpy, grisly and expensive. The cocktails were excellent though expensive. Enjoyable evening.

figured we would try this place out after hearing about it. they recommended reservations so I made them. arrived on time and we were first there and pretty much through our whole dinner. the service was good and it's a nice place. my only negative would be on the prices. it was about $40 per person, and that was only because my wife ordered simple chicken strips off the kids menu. we had the special which was deep fried cod and fries at $34 each and my son had ribs at lime $36.note that we knew it was pricey going in but wanted to try it out as we do occasionally. it was good overall but pricing doesn't lineup with the menu items we selected. give it a try and see what you think

Bartender was amazing. Server was okay, we ordered an appetizer that was never brought out after it was brought up multiple times after she asked. Food was good was given bread/oil for free because the appetizer was never brought out.

Beargrass Bistro was absolutely fantastic, from the staff to the food! Jennifer was our server - top notch, friendly, and attentative. The ambiance was relaxing and cozy. We ordered the tenderloin bites and bread (love it that those proceeds are donated) for starters, jumbo shrimp special, lasagna and frenched chicken for our mains. Nothing disappointed!

Tried this restaurant due to the close vicinity to our rental cabin and it did not disappoint. I had the 24oz Montana "Wagyu" ribeye. I have dined at more restaurants than I care to disclose, and I'm surprised to write this was the best steak I have ever had; better than any I've had in my home Alberta. My dining guest loved the braised beef short rib also. Our soup appetizers were also great; service was great; drinks were great. I came to Montana for a relaxing weekend , but I did not expect a dining experience so memorable and worthy of another state visit alone.Go to this restaurant. I know I will be back as soon as I can visit Montana again.

Besrgrass Bistro is fantastic! I have strict dietary guidelines, and spoke with the owner on what I was able to eat. I felt bad bc I get tired of asking for customish orders and apologized for being a pain. They said not a pain at all, anyone with legitimate nutritional needs we do our best to accommodate. They spoke to the chef who made a completely different meal for me. I was blown away and very grateful. My wife and I enjoyed both of our delicious meals to the very last morsel. The lighting, ambiance, and decor are beautiful & relaxing. Everyone was very considerate, and on top of it all their menu is full of thoughtful, intentional, healthy, nutritious choices. I would recommend it to anyone!

Lovely restaurant in lakeside. Rock solid whiskey sour. Service was a bit slow. Salads were very fresh. Short ribs- fantastic. Clam & sausage pasta special needed more sauce, flavor, butter- something.bread pudding dessert out of this world. Very very pricey.

Four dined at the Bistro. 2 ordered Filets and said they were excellent. One order of Lasagna which was good. I ordered the veal and sadly it was tough. I expect veal to be fork tender and I had difficulty cutting it with a table knife. Also there were way too many capers on it. The pasta with crispy prosciutto was excellent.

We have made it our tradition to come and eat our anniversary dinner with Beargrass. Our anniversary is on new years and we love that we can have an amazing 5 course meal with such a great ambiance. Thank you for another amazing meal!

We brought my parents here for their 40th Anniversary. They had a blast and the food was phenomenal. The service was prompt and the food came in a timely manner. I tried to book another date because my husband had executives coming in but it's a day they are closed! Great place!

Ordered the New York steak. It was cooked absolutely perfectly, the wife ordered the seafood special she still talking about it, the server was outstanding, and on point l. We finish the evening with a espresso martini absolutely delicious highly recommend this restaurant great place to enjoy friends and family accompanied by great food and awesome hospitality

I appreciate this establishment being open on Christmas Eve as I am here for work. Service was fair, biggest observation was that it took a very long time for drink refills. Food was described well but came out completely different- “Delmonico steak comes sliced, with broccolini on the side...”- it did not come sliced and was served with asparagus, not broccolini. Other meals at our table had random vegetables that varied from description or menu. The steak looked promising (we had three at our table), but they all ranged from burnt crispy on the outer portions to purple cold raw in the center. Meat was also quiet tough. I would not recommend the Delmonico steak. Nice ambiance, but not worth a trip from Kalispell.
