I’m leaving a 5 star review because I genuinely enjoy coming to the switchback. I have friends and family who work here! The food is consistently good and I love the atmosphere. I do want to draw attention to the management and the owners that they may want to have a conversation with NEW staff about treating patrons with love and kindness. If someone is being rude to you then by all means, handle appropriately. But my family (party of 7 on Tuesday 1/20/26) received an alarming amount of hostility, rudeness and negative attitude from our waiter that really disturbed me. I personally asked him how he was doing? (To which he said “fine”) Or if we had upset him? (To which he said sharply “no”) so I moved on but two days later, it’s still bothering me. Why is it bothering me? Because we were a family heavily grieving at that dinner as a death occurred in our family within 6 hours of that meal. We were meeting as a family to comfort and love on each other. I’m not going to be nasty and leave a negative review about the restaurant because 1) I’ll definitely be back 2) this experience is not a reflection of my billion times at Switchback/Treasure 3) I don’t want to drive people away because this isn’t worth it! But I hope someone in charge sees this and has a conversation. Because maybe that waiter was having a bad night… but so were we.. and he’s just needs reminded that you never know what someone else is going through. So always be kind. Everyone needs that reminder sometimes. Love and God bless!

Loved this place! The restaurant was clean and spacious, though a little dark lightning wise. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was delicious, well portioned and decently priced. I would highly recommend for anybody in the area or just passing through

Yum. Visiting for the night. Googled all kinds of restaurants. Wanted a steak or a burger. But affordable. Looked at their reviews which were up and down. Chose to roll with it. I had burger patty with grilled onions n gravy, loaded salad and potato. My wife had the mignon (medium well )loaded spud and steamed veggies. Just the right amount of food to get full without a doggy bag. Drinks were awesome. Jeanne was our server very accommodating and friendly. Great atmosphere. Will go there again next time in the area.
Server with long beard, didn’t confirm if there was gluten in the rice pilaf when I asked if there was, they put toast on my Ribeye, I ordered the steamed veggies and got 99% broccoli stem chunks (lol), and the cauliflower and carrots tasted and looked like the generic brand from dollar general quality, the rice pilaf was al dente and the steak requested Medium was unevenly cooked and seemed like it wasn’t allowed to rest to fully turn out medium. I shared the feedback with the gentleman and they still charged me full price and didn’t order to swap the side. The parts of the steak that were cooked when I let it rest (20 mins?) turned out cooked thru but dang this ribeye was extremely fatty.

The food is barely substantial and overpriced. The service was lazy, they treated us, as patrons they did not know, like crap, while spending time sitting at tables and chatting up local influentials that they clearly know as regulars. This must be the only way this typical small town restaurant stays busy, as I saw the owners doing the same thing. It is a terrible place to look forward to, and if you do not know someone working there, you will be forgotten on the sidelines... and even than, they have an insane replacement rate of their kitchen staff... 20 cooks in two years... only because of internal drama... these people are toxic, everything wrong with the industry, avoid them at all costs.
Had coconut prawns and fries with water and got so sick. I am now carful about where I eat out. I will not go there again.

Sorry to say, this was one of the worst dining experiences We've had. We sat for half an hour before the waitress came to wait on us. We waited for well over an hour for our food to arrive and then......it Was All Cold!! Four dinners....COLD! I would NEVER recommend this place.......EVER!
