We have eaten at this place 4 times and the first 2 times the food was excellent the steaks were cooked perfect. The last two times I had the prawns and they were very good but the steaks have been absolutely awful they were very salty with no flavor. One would think that with a $60 steak it would at least be edible. Also I don’t recommend the twice backed potatoes they are way over salted.

Amazing. Do not go here unless you are ready to have your idea of a good steak thrown out the window. I thought I have had good steaks before. Wrong.
Maybe its the atmosphere and the drinks. Maybe its the taxidermy squirrel on display, maybe its all the ranch brands on the walls and doors. There's a good chance its just good service, excellent food, and amazing seasoning. Everything from the veggie tray, to the salad, the bread, the main course, and the perfect portion dessert hit the spot. I did not have enough self control to wait to take an "insta worthy" picture of the petite filet.

Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible. All one level from the parking lot to the dining room and bathrooms.

We had higher expectations for this place. Sorry to say the food was about on par with Outback steak house at best although the prices are premium the quality and quantity was nothing to brag about sad to say. The people I was with grew up in Montana but it’s been ten years since they been back and they were disappointed. The meat was average quality versus on the high end and the chef wasn’t very tentative. All the meat was overcooked or undercooked than requested. As far as the quantity, the prices we paid we expected more than just bar food portions. 37 dollars for six medium size shrimp and 59 dollars for prime rib that was grilled like a sirloin on a grill was surprising. It was nothing like a prime rib. I don’t know if they are trying to save money but all four orders came up short. Everything was actually small. If you’re visiting you should consider saving your money and trying another place.

I ordered the prime rib medium rare. It came out as a rare ribeye with grill marks on it. I told them it was the wrong thing and they doubled town on it saying they don’t serve the ribeye with juice and horseradish. Either they don’t know what prime rib is or I’m delirious. But im pretty sure what prime rib is - and in any case they didn’t know how to cook a rib eye to temperature. I really wanted this place to be great to fill the void left from sir Scott’s. The steak fingers were good. Don’t get the twice baked potato though.

Good steak house that is delicious. Getting the steak is the best because you get a salad, side and dessert. Steaks are good and temperature done decently well. Tons of parking for this location

Every meal I've ever had here has been literally perfect. The food is always perfect, the portions are large. The timing is great too, with the main course typically appearing right as I'm finishing appetizers and the side salad.

Service is always friendly, accommodating, and quick.

Atmosphere is perfectly Montana-rustic, and makes me proud to be a Montanan and a Gallatin Valley native.

I've been privileged to eat at many exceptional restaurants around the world, but I'd be hard pressed to name one I love more than the good ol Land of Magic.

Said evening for me, my 2 brothers and I ordered ribeye steaks and we received NY Strips and was told by manager they were ribeyes. My brother is a butcher by trade and I buy my family full ribeyes and strips and hand cut them myself. This tradition ended tonight being lied to is wrong . The waitress was great. Sad to know the manager dosent know the difference . To be lied to twice is wrong and I won’t be back.

Food was good, not worth waiting an hour and 45 mins for. For those prices I expect greatness.

From what I hear, people used to debate who had the best steak in the Gallatin Valley. Sir Scott’s let the meat speak for itself, while Land of Magic perfected the art of seasoning. While Sir Scott’s is now gone, Land of Magic is still alive and serving up wonderful steaks with impeccable seasoning.

This place is a classic Montana steakhouse. It is the only restaurant/bar in town and you will see local ranchers celebrating special occasions. Every dinner comes with a vegetable tray, bread, salad or shrimp cocktail and ice cream for desert. Dress is not a concern and it is moderately affordable for steak, but it will exceed all but the most expensive steak houses.

If you want to experience a classic Montana dinner, this is the place.
