Very clean, great stay over, would have been 5 star had there been coffee cups and had the freezer in the fridge been functional, but it was frozen solid over half way so couldn’t freeze our gel packs for our food we had with us. I always confirm fridge/freezer, so was very disappointed when I couldn’t utilize the freezer. So if you don’t need the freezer, just bring coffee cup and you’ll love this place.
Great room, Really big rooms, clean and a great view out the back of room. We could stay here a week and be happy. Best hotel room of our trip.
First thought Bates motel😂because it was dusk and no one around remote key is used. BUT once we opened the door we were pleasantly surprised by the room. High wood ceiling that were beautiful. Nice larger refrigerator and microwave. Whoever designed the space put lots of room for bags. A place to hang your bathroom towels and sit your clothes while showering. Only complaint was a smell when we turned on the air we turned it off and used the fan supplied which was just fine. Keep in mind there is not any food nearby we ate in Butte MT so we were good and we had some breakfast food with us. Would have liked to been in earlier to sit on the nice covered patio and watch the rain. Nice place and close enough to Yellowstone National Park. We would definitely stay again as it was clean and comfortable.
I tell you what the positives and negative are, in my opinion.
It's that their fault but the not restaurants. Not there The tavern. The website still says it was there and it's not.
However, for the room itself, they're pretty cool. The upgrades and the updates they have done are wonderful.
I think they're definitely going the right direction. I can't wait to see when they're done with everything and the tavern is back up so I can eat there
Very spacious. Very small town feeling ish. We loved it
The room is clean, has been upgraded and has a great view. Nothing fancy.
There is literally nothing around there, to include an attendant.
The motel is significantly over priced for the area. After examining other motels/hotels in the area, I realized I paid too much.
The steak house is toasted from a kitchen fire. Totally lost restaurant. Rooms were up wind of blazing fire.
Expensive rooms
2016- Great Montana bar/restaurant! Cheers!
2024 - As we all know, a restaurant is a tough bus to drive. This bus went over the rail and needs new ownership.
Late in 2024 - It burned to the ground. Hopefully it will be resurrected!
Owner started fire or contracted arson?
Some fun facts: Temporary closed sign since Labor Day weekend, so many bad reviews since new owner purchase, then a suspicious fire that started in the attic.
I’m guessing arson by owner to try and collect that insurance money.
It’s all I hear around town including Bozeman too.
Also because the owner is too lazy to update, this business is closed.
Phone message says they're open, After driving 25 miles, the sign on the door says they're closed until further notice.
Great steak!

12 September 2024. Checked website for hours and days of operation. Called to make a reservation. Message states only takes reservations for 10 or more, but clearly states open on Thursdays. Arrived with party of 8 after 1 hour drive. Restaurant door was locked. Open sign was not lit up. Called and got an answering machine with message that confirmed the operating hours. There was no note posted on the door. Not recommended. There are other places to eat in the area.
Awesome staff, service and atmosphere. The steaks and walleye were superb!!!
We were here with family (8 of us). Luckily we went on a Friday so they had burnt ends…which they brought samples of to our table. Everyone loved the food—from meatloaf, to burnt ends, to their salads … everything was really delicious. Service was good and very friendly. Would highly recommend this place.
I had an amazing birthday dinner with friends at McAllisters Inn & Steakhouse.
The bartender recommended the huckleberry martini. Delicious.
Our table shared the chicken wings tossed in a bourbon bacon sauce. OMG!!!
The best I have ever eaten. Next time I am not sharing. They are that good.
I ordered the filet mignon which came with a beautiful side of broccolini. The filet was so flavorful and tender you could slice it with a butter knife. The broccolini had a tasty lemony flavor seasoning that was so good.
The quality of food was exceptional for the price. Hats off to the Chef!!!!
Was very excited to try out this place as it has been a very long time since I have been over to McAllister. The wine selection is hand picked by the owner- and he did a great job selecting them! We tried a few different things off the menu but will say my favorite was the Meatloaf!!!! I normally don’t like meatloaf (unless it’s my husbands!) but this meatloaf is a MUST HAVE… It is not your typical meatloaf! So many wonderful flavors and the texture is incredible. My other favorite was the fried green beans- so good! We also had a tenderloin cooked medium and it definitely did not even need a steak knife. So tender and juicy! Well worth the drive and will be back again to try the burnt ends!!! Thanks to all the staff who made it such a wonderful evening.
