Great food, very nice atmosphere, and friendly customer service. Very reasonable prices as well. I was even impressed with the tech they used for placing orders and paying. Made everything so much easier and quicker. Our compliments to the cook.

What a hidden gem! If you're ever camping or recreating out near Ovando, a definite must stop for some homemade breakfast, beautiful wooden tables and chairs, some mis-matched mugs that never go empty, and service with a smile. They take credit and debit cards but offer cash discounts! Very quick service too.

We happened on this small café when traveling to Glacier and so glad we pulled off the highway! The soup was homeade and the food was amazing. Waitress was very sweet and kind. Felt like home and eating at grandma's house. Hope we get to go back someday!

The food and service here were awesome. My boyfriend and I are cycling the great divide and this breakfast was a really great way to begin our day!

Quick, Tasty, and Quaint

Stopped at the Stray Bullet Café on our way through Ovando and it hit the spot. The food came out fast, was tasty and satisfying, exactly what we needed. The vibe is quaint with a slight throwback charm, like stepping into a small-town diner from another time.

The only critique is the service felt a little brisk. The staff seemed focused and efficient, but not especially warm or welcoming. Not rude, just all business.

Still, worth the stop if you’re passing through and need a good, solid meal in a unique little town.

We, 12 of us, were in town for a wedding. The Stray bullet was our go to for every breakfast! What may have started with 2,3 or 4 would swell to a family "mob" as the morning progressed but the wait staff just rolled with it! Those young women work their butts off, always smiling, laughing with us (probably AT us too, I'm sure!) chit chatting, getting everything right every time! What a great way to start the day!!! I recommend the eggs, hash browns and the french toast. Our Tennessee contingent and 1 brother from NJ couldn't stop singing the praises of the biscuits and gravy with eggs. It was ALL great! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Very good place to eat. The staff worked very hard to cover an extremely busy service.

We rolled through here on our bikes a couple years ago. We were ahead of our friends by a bit (2 hours as it turns out) so decided to sit down and have a snack. The staff was super accommodating to us ordering something new every 10 minutes. Between the two of us we racked up a $68 bill before tip. Now keep in mind the prices are very reasonable, we probably something like a dozen eggs and a dozen pancakes, a pound of bacon, 2 coffees, 4 hot chocolates, half a loaf of toast... you get the idea. TLDR we were hungry, the food was good and the staff was very friendly. Ended up staying in town so we could eat breakfast there again the next day too
