My take on Mexican restaurants is almost always the same. Same beans, same rice, same style, usually buried under cheese. That’s the downside of Mexican food in the United States. Most places stick to the formula. Every now and then, though, a place does a few things just a little differently.
Kiko’s Mexican Restaurant is easily the warmest place to have dinner in P-Burg, and I mean that literally. They have two gas stoves that run hot and make the whole place feel comfortable, especially on a cold night.
The service is great, and here’s why: they actually try to accommodate you. I despise rice and beans in burritos. To me, they’re cheap filler. I want meat, jalapeños, maybe some onions, and salsa. That’s exactly what they did, no pushback, no weird looks. I like that.
The salsa was good and fresh, but the guacamole was even better, the kind I make at home. So yes, it’s familiar Mexican food, but with just enough flexibility and care to make it stand out.
It’s worth going, reasonable prices, and having them make it your way.

Great food, friendly service, u comfortable chairs, but we found a single booth in the back that wasn’t too bad. Order and pay at counter and the bring it to your table.

Without a doubt, the best Mexican food I’ve had in my life (and I’ve lived in Tucson, AZ) 😍🤤 We got carne asada tacos, traditional carne asada, chile verde, chili relleno, and a combo. The carne asada was seasoned to perfection and was incredibly tender. All 3 of us scraped our plates completely clean. We received our food quickly, especially considering the rush that came in for dinner. Madison was so nice helping us decide what to get and was incredibly patient. I wish I lived closer so I could go all the time 😍😋🌮

No table service, so the wait to order can be 15-20 minutes. Food is good and it has become a regular stop after sapphire mining.

Just had this for the first time today. The wife and I loved it. Super authentic Mexican food. Can’t find this in Helena! Will definitely be returning 😋
