This is a very unique shop to stop at when driving through Philipsburg. I thought it was an old ice cream shop that had been there for 100 years or so since the owner Mark uses antique barrel churners, but turns out he built it 6 years ago and is passionate about using them. He even showed us how the barrels worked. Very delicious ice cream and waffle cone too with Montana made ingredients (except for the Madagascar vanilla).I saw a one star review that mentioned he only has one option of plant based milk. He makes ice cream in a small town shop in Montana. Go back to Los Angeles if that’s the kind of thing you expect these days.

The ice cream is so good and the old man’s dog is so friendly and sweet, but the old man creating those delicious flavors of ice cream looks like he could use a vacation

Absolutely amazing! They were real busy when we got there! But they helped people through the line fairly fast! All around customer service??! Huckleberry was the best imo! Salted caramel was also good! Definitely wud stop there again!!

Some great flavors and very good ice cream made in the old fashioned way. I recommend if you are budgeting getting a bowl with many scoops as each treat is less expensive the more scoops you get.

Amazing house made ice cream, friendly owners, and a super cute pup named Rosebud combine to make a very comfortable dessert stop after any meal or even just an afternoon treat.

This is a charming ice cream shop that is a throw back to bye gone days. It's very "folksy". They have an old fashioned ice cream making machine that you can watch churn the ingredients into a magical result. They have lots of flavors to choose from. Huckleberry is the "Montana" flavor. To be honest, I can't eat dairy so I didn't sample the ice cream. But the fact that my 3 year old granddaughter inhaled her scoop, speaks volumes. She already has a refined palette. The shop's canine mascot, Rosebud is an additional attraction. While the shop is small, it does have indoor seating but it also has generous outdoor seating as well.

Love this place! Every flavor of ice cream is delicious, and they make their own waffle cones. Too many delicious flavors to list, but some of our family's favorites are: Cowboy Coffee, Andes Mint Chip, White Lavender, Cookies and Cream, Butte Black Licorice, Hungry Horse Huckleberry, and Peaches and Cream(when this one is on the menu you know it is summertime!).
