Had family in from out of town and we thought we would give it a try. Definitely Not kid friendly at all. No booster seats. No high chairs. No kids menu or activities. Food was pretty good. Service was good. Pretty overpriced for what you receive though.

Wasn't that impressed, the brisket was not the best, tougher than exoected. I might go back and try the pulled pork. Spent too many years in bar b cue Mecas in the south and it spoiled meThe location was great and service was awesome.

Okay, I'm not one to leave reviews. But this I can't pass up. The food was good, but i did find a hair in my baked beans. The second waitress we had was amazing, personable, kind, and really changed the experience we were having. The first waitress was extremely rude and looked like she absolutely hates her job... she came to get our drink order, brought out drinks and ran off without even asking if we wanted appetizers, fully knowing we were waiting for the rest of our group to join us. So we asked the other waitress for appetizers, and the young girl working has the audacity to ask our orders when we are still waiting... our appetizers come and we ask for ketchup she brings it and its empty, so we asked the girl for another bottle, she gets choked up like she's never had someone ask for something because the bottle is EMPTY. An empty bottle of ketchup is supposed to be enough for a table of six right? So anyway she says shell go see if she can "find any" what does she do? Literally everything but grab another bottle of ketchup around the corner. We ask her a total of 3 times before she huffed and got the ketchup. The rest of our group arrives and we wait for 10 minutes before I couldnt keep my mouth shut for any longer and asked her when she was going to take our order, even the other 2 drinks that she didn't even bother with. She was helping ONE other table. And tells me I need to be patient well I didn't know playing on your cell phone and flirting with the guys in the back are acceptable reasons for your customers to have to be patient. After the other waitress took over for us that little (not gonna cuss but you know what I want to say) kept trying to stare ME down like i should be ashamed for embarrassing her in front people.but she should be the one ashamed. It takes a certain type of person to be a waitress... and SHES NOT IT!Kid-friendliness: The worst for kid friendliness, no boosters, high chairs, etc... my fiance had to grab the stroller for our baby. There's not even a spot for you to change your baby.

Well, I've eaten here several times since moving here. Normally we get a tritip sandwich as well as a ribeye sandwich. I prefer the waffle fries then we get onion rings on the other sandwich. Today I ordered a ribeye melt with waffle fries. I didn't realize it was a $4 upcharge for waffle fries....... Not a big deal, just didn't know. However, when my food came out, the first were too hard, they hurt my mouth to eat. I went to talk to the person working named Stephanie and told her how over-cooked the fries were, she stated "those are our new fries." No offer to redo them or another side..... So apparently don't order the new waffle fries. Which is a bummer since the beans they offer are subpar and they have no cornbread...... Weird. Also a weird way to treat a local who visits regularly. Make sure you find out if what you want won't be overcooked before ordering it.If you could hear the snap of the fry in the photo, you would be annoyed with their disinterest in fixing the situation too.

Bbq Mac and cheese is the best thing on the menu. Pass on the ribs; they were over sauced and lacked flavor. The spicy pickles are the best. However, the staff are slow and unattentive.

The pulled pork was such a letdown. Not shredded and the sauce was not throughout it but rather poured on the top of it as from a ketchup bottle. As soon as plate was set in front of me, the most awful pork smell hit me. I was immediately nauseated. At least the waffle fries were good (those were served before the pork arrived). Person I was with disliked their pork platter also. Very expensive and although serving size is worth the price, the smell and taste is definitely not. Total waste of money.

Took 45 minutes to get food with only 5 people waiting on food when we got there. I enjoy the food but don't understand why it takes so long to make a sandwich and put applesauce and baked beans on a plate. Wanted to dine in but had to get it as take out so we could make it to the play. Got to get cookies during the intermission and had the sandwiches the next day for lunch. I feel 1 hour should have been enough time to have lunch. Very disappointed !

I used to love this place when it was in Philipsburg. The quality and flavor just isn't there now. Bring the "boss hog" and "mad cow" back to the menu

Good, basic BBQ . Atmosphere is plain, service is OK. Our waitress was very new, but she was sweet. Very reasonable prices!

Stopped in midafternoon today (Sunday). Extended amount of time waiting to be seated.Young girl did finally appearOrdered the pork rinds, which were excellent I had the three meat sampler + Ribs, coleslaw and roasted corn.?I’m a Georgia boy at heart and LOVE good BBQ!!!Ribs- should’ve been just deboned and added to the beans..Dry and fell completely apartChicken- horribly dry.. At least rehydrate or something..Pork- was good, middle of the road..Tri-Tip- was good, definitely the better of the fourColeslaw was really good ??Roasted Corn- was ok with the mixed green chilies.I believe the issues are mostly due to extended holding times. I get it due to minimizing waste but it’s killing any returning customers..I’d love to try the difference of these items FRESH!!Waitstaff issues, they’ve gotta check on the customers. Nice girls but need to provide service..Good Luck

Without a doubt the worst excuse for a BBQ joint I've ever had the displeasure of being to. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and baked beans. When I got the sandwich it was dry as the Sahara like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for 3 hours. The baked beans were sweet enough I immediately felt cavities developing. I took 3 bites of each and couldn't eat any more. My server (whose name I forget) was extremely kind and apologetic when I told her I didn't enjoy it. I paid the bill because I got exactly what I ordered in a timely fashion but I will not be eating the "BBQ" again. The ribeye melt is great though as I'm sure it comes off the U.S. Foods truck!!

Tried this place on a whim in the afternoon and ordered the chicken and rib platter for $23. There were 3 small ribs and maybe 1/2 breast of chicken. Both were overcooked and had little flavor. Coleslaw was ok, potato salad was better. Ordered an appetizer of onion rings, they were ok, a little greasy maybe. We're having a hard time finding quality, good tasting food in Montana. We end up cooking at home because we cook better than most restaurants we've tried. It's just nice not to do dishes once in a while. For bbq we would recommend Moose Creek bbq. We won't be back for Upnsmoke BBQ unfortunately. The server was nice though.

My partner and I decided to pop in after I had a 3.5 hour hair appt down the road. We were advised by a local to not bother eating at the majority of restaurants here, but regrettably, we didn't listen. We saw this place had good reviews and felt like it would be hard to mess up BBQ.First of all, for a place that serves ONLY BBQ, the menu is incredibly underwhelming. They serve pork and tri tip. No brisket or anything else you'd expect from a classic BBQ joint. Okay, no biggie. We ordered the nachos, thinking it would be the quickest (and hardest thing to mess up). Boy, oh boy were we wrong lol.Our $15 nachos came as the following: a stale, underwhelming (literally could chip a tooth on) pile of chips, 2 types of canned cheese (directly from the can, not even heated?), canned jalapenos, canned baked beans in their own juices, and absolutely zero fresh toppings. Lest we not forget the very dry, tasteless sliced tri-tip buried under all the liquid cheese. Not an onion or tomato or fresh topping anywhere in sight. It was basically stale nacho soup (ya know, with all the wet cheese and bean liquid). I'm not joking when I say I've made better pantry meals when I was in college living on $5 meals.I gave one additional star for our poor server who was clearly stressed, understaffed, overworked, and immediately comped our food when we told her how stale our chips were. She did seem confused about our other complaints, however, so this is clearly the standard of food here.If you want nachos, go to the Tamarack in Missoula. Spend the same amount on a half keg of nachos that feeds 5 people and has 5 pounds of fresh toppings and meats. As for their other menu items, I don't have much hope and won't be back.

Would never eat here again. 15$ for four of the smallest, over cooked, flavorless chicken strips I have ever had. 4 extra dollars for ten waffle fries as an up charge for the side. 15$ for a chicken sandwich that didn’t even have a toasted bun. Shredded chicken without any flavor and no other toppings. Waited nearly forty minutes for terrible food.
