Sorry to see this close and be For Sale again. Less and less options for eating out in Plains anymore. The meals I had there were good, friendly staff.

If the owner were to pay it's employees what they are worth this place would still be open

Not as good as the building looks inviting. Service is not great and food is just okay. I don't plan to go back.

We had excellent service here, the staff being courteous, professional and friendly. The food was great and the portions were very generous. The garden salad was chock full of vegetables, not just lettuce and dressing. The burgers were delicious. We will return the next time we are in the area.

My wife and I went in as I've been by many times but never stopped since they reopened. The taco chili soup is AWESOME! I would love to have the recipe to this soup! We ordered both a turkey and a beef open faced sandwich. The portions were enormous for the price. That is the good news. The bad was it looked as if they used deli meat for both sandwiches, not very appetizing in our opinion. The place was full so they are doing something right, we'll try it again and order something different.

I had the tomato soup and a grilled cheese. It was very good. The tomato soup had chunks of tomatos and it was seasoned with herbs. I tend to like it that way. Friendly staff and it's a really quant place.

If you come through Plains and you don't stop for the food, views, friendly folks and the prices. All I can say is your loss... This place is outstanding!

Right off the road and so pleased we stopped in! Definitely will be back! There’s a deck for summer dining and they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I've been working here in Plains, MT at the hospital. Not much here but it's pretty and charming in its own way. I decided to eat a real dinner tonight and not leftover hospital food. It was delicious! For this small, little town, this Cafe had a ton of charm, you feel right at home, the service was epic, and the food was great! Highly recommend.

Even with some great reviews, Farmhouse exceeded our expectations!First, the staff was terrific! They were cheerful, helpful and got our order exactly right. And the food! The menu items were common, but the flavors were fantastic. And the values (price vs quantity) were frankly shocking. I haven't found food that was so plentiful and affordable in a couple years!I had the Triple Decker Club and it's one of the best I've had in years. Plus it was big enough that I was able to share it with my 20 year old son and we were both quite full with some delicious fries left over.It tried another son's French Dip, which was equally delicious with some very nice seasoning.I also got to try the Chicken Strips which were tender and very juicy. We'll definitely stop by again on a future trip to the area!

I ordered a patty melt with soup to go. The soup was chicken with wild rice and mushrooms, and it was outstanding! The patty melt was not as good, though. It was dry, without the usual Thousand Island dressing on it, and the onions were not grilled long enough (they were partially raw). The bread was a swirled rye, just what I like. The only thing I can recommend so this meal would have been perfect is to add the usual dressing normally on a patty melt. And grill the onions until they are cooked! I’ll go back for that wonderful soup and ask for dressing on the sandwich.
