Traveling through on my way to Glacier park and stopped in Plains for the night! Not many options for breakfast in small towns but very glad the first place I stopped wasn’t open yet so I went on to the Butchers Nook! Its a great little spot. Nothing fancy but good food and friendly people!! I ha pancakes and sausage for breakfast and it required two plates because the pancake covered an entire dinner plate!! Pancake was good but I could only eat half and the breakfast sausage was excellent!. They have a great bakery selection and also a small store selling lots of locally produced canned goods and jams and jellies. I restocked my Huckleberry Jam supply!

Great place for a hearty meal that tastes home cooked. The pastries are absolutely delicious! 🤤 Clean family friendly environment, helpful staff.

The food here is Delicious! It amazes me how I can get everything I order exactly how I like. The staff’s willingness to work with you to adjust how they make your food is outstanding! So far I’d say this is the best western dine in, in Montana.

There were 5 in our party. Everyone of us said the same thing, the gal that took our order was not very kind.
One plate came out in 10 minutes. 10 minutes later 2 more plates came out. 10 minutes later the last 2 plates came out. And they were NOT busy.
The sausage was burned. The toast was burned. The hash browns was very soggy, more like mashed potatoes.
