I Always take the time to stop in at this place when I’m going through Plains. I’ve even driven out of my way to grab a burger there. Delicious food, very friendly courteous staff, and a relaxed comfortable atmosphere. Made from scratch food and generous portions.

Don't let the the high ratings fool you, that was the previous management. New owners and it's not the same. He was rude and made me wait even though I was before the other people. My deli order wasn't correct either but no way was I driving 8 miles back to town so he could be rude to me again.If they are this way to all their customers, they won't last long. Hopefully it was an isolated incident but I'll not be going back.

The locals kinda flock to this place, and though choices around here are few, I still think the food would draw them in even if they had more choices. They give you sizeable sandwhiches with plenty of meat, and my friend Lyndsay, who has traveled far and wide, says that the onion rings here are so far her favorite anywhere.Attached to this good food stop is a lil small grocery /convenience store, too. They are covering all your bases in this small town, and being super friendly while doing it too. ?

DELICIOUS! We had their Reuben and Patty Melt, both were fantastic. JoJos and waffle fries were crispy and tasty. I had a Reuben there a year ago or so and remember it being good, but it was even better this time. Will definitely be back.
Very nice and clean deli/restaurant. Order your food at the front counter and have a seat, everything is brought to you within minutes. All the workers are so happy and friendly. The food is delicious and simple but that what's so good about it.

We had heard from locals about how good The Butcher's Nook was so while we were in town, we decided to give it a try. They have a large dining room but when we got there, it was packed! We had to wait to order at the counter. But they have a small grocery there too so we could browse while we waited. The prices were very reasonable and the food was excellent. Everything is made to order and was very fresh. We didn't get any but our local friends told us the quality of their meats (It really is a butcher store too.) is excellent. We found out later that the reason it was so packed was that the governor was visiting Plains that day and had gone there for lunch and that he drew quite a crowd. I don't know anything about the governor (We're not from Montana.) except that he knows where to get the best food in town.

Stopped here for lunch, it is a nice deli and small market with some hot griddle foods.Kids had cheese burgers and they were great. The buns were fresh and delicious! Fries were frozen, but fried crispy.

This place is only open for breakfast and lunch on weekdays. But it's super yummy! Great sandwiches, donuts, biscuits and gravy, etc. Also has a small store with other food items. The service is great and it has a lot of room for indoor dining.

Had lunch again here, ordered something we haven't had, a turkey sandwich, and chefs salad $9.25 and fries. The sandwich has so much meat in it and the chef salad. I should have taken a picture of it before I put the dressing on, piles with meat. We have never been disappointed no matter what we order. Always pleasant people and great pastries and fresh made bread. They make their own bread for the sandwiches.
