“We were fortunate enough to be able to enjoy an amazing meal at their new location in Billings. The service was great, but best of all was the delicious food we were able to order. I ordered the green chicken enchiladas, my son ordered the quesadilla with carne asada and my husband ordered the carne asada torta - very yummy all around!!! We will definitely be back the next time we’re in the area. We highly recommend eating here!!!”

“I’m still remembering the tender bite of the elk medallions. Yeah, it was just last night for dinner but I’m waking up wanting more. And the sauces! Someone knows what they are doing in the kitchen! Bar tender Kate and manager Jensen made us feel like locals.”

“I don't remember our waiters name that me and my 2 girlfriends had tonight, taller guy with blonde hair he was training a new, but very savvy looking bartender, but he was SUPER friendly, got our drinks and food right out to us, made small talk about where we were from when he was getting our meals paid for, the whole atmosphere is awesome. I came in there the first time last Friday and again today, and it's definitely my new favorite spot when I come to red lodge, the best pizza I've had (get the PO box one) and ice cold drinks. 10/10 👏👏”

“Can't find a phone number for this place and when do you quit serving food as well? Because you would be the only place to serve food besides the gas station right now”

“Wow is all I can say! We met the bartender Megan at another restaurant earlier in the day who told us to come check it out. Not only was the food delicious, the service was amazing! Megan told Kristen(our amazing server) about our anniversary (she remembered from the morning) and they blessed us with a card and a complimentary dessert. The steak was top notch and everyone was so kind! I loved the atmosphere and highly recommend them to any one wanting to enjoy a fantastic dinner in red lodge!”

“Food for thought, this particular subway is the best I've ever been to. The employees are taught to be fast and efficient while still keeping an upbeat attitude all the while. I highly recommend getting the rotisserie chicken on a 12 inch cheese bread and have them put rotisserie chicken on 1/2 and crispy bacon on the other half and have them put it in the oven for three times in total. I ask for red onions, spinach, and tomato with a big squirt of their custom peppercorn ranch dressing. The taste is foodgasmic to say the least.
Wheelchair accessibility: You would have to go to the bowling alley in order to get to the subway with a wheelchair.”

“Excellent food, perfect! Had the broadway chicken with rice and my guy had fish & chips. Desert was blueberry & strawberry little pie like desserts with vanilla ice cream. Our waitress had only been on the job two days, she was observant and did a very good job at being just right with our needs. Glad we chose this restaurant for our dinner, perfect.”

“Don't pass this one up! We almost did when we found it nearly empty. I'm so glad we stopped. The food was fast and delicious. Quite possibly the best Chinese food I've had. The service was good. The food was cooked fresh and the flavor was phenomenal. I went back for a second order of Rangoon right before we left because I had to have more.”

“We arrived for dinner just after the power went out for most of the town. The beer was still flowing and they set up a line for brisket sandwiches. One problem for us was cash only! We scraped together enough for one beer and one sandwich. The beer tender was kind enough to buy us a second beer! The brisket and beer were both wonderful!”
“I am celiac and have to be gluten free. They took extra steps to insure I didn't get gluten in my meal. Extremely good! Will repeat next time in town. thank you 😊”

“Hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. We celebrated our marriage tonight at The One Legged Magpie, and everything—from the food to the atmosphere to the people—was phenomenal. We started with the salmon sashimi and lamb kebab appetizers—both were fresh, flavorful, and plated beautifully. For entrées, we shared the pork saltimbocca and the whole chicken over risotto, and I don’t say this lightly… they were both next level. Cooked to perfection, balanced seasoning, and just rich enough to feel indulgent without being heavy. We paired the meal with a couple of mocktails that were seriously some of the best we’ve ever had. Creative, well-balanced, and crafted with as much care as any cocktail menu I’ve ever seen. And don’t even get me started on dessert… the butterscotch flake sea salt pudding was absolute magic—sweet, salty, creamy, and gone in about 60 seconds. The service was outstanding. Our server was knowledgeable, warm, and attentive without hovering. The bartender clearly knew their craft. And to top it all off, Chef came out to check on us personally, and Michael, the owner, came by to say thank you and welcome us in. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare—and unforgettable. The portions were phenomenal, and the pricing was extremely fair—especially considering the quality, creativity, and experience. We also noticed they have a delicious pizza menu, which we definitely plan to come back and try. It’s clear this is a place everyone can enjoy, whether you’re celebrating something big or just looking for a great meal out. The vibe of the restaurant is welcoming and refined, with just enough edge to make it feel unique. You can tell everyone here really cares about what they’re doing. If you’re looking for a spot to celebrate something special—or just want to treat yourself to food that hits on all cylinders—The One Legged Magpie is a must. We’ll absolutely be back.”
