I’m still remembering the tender bite of the elk medallions. Yeah, it was just last night for dinner but I’m waking up wanting more. And the sauces! Someone knows what they are doing in the kitchen! Bar tender Kate and manager Jensen made us feel like locals.
Many options for food especially if needing gluten free options.
Dietary restrictions: Large gluten free selections
Kid-friendliness: No kids menu, no crayons or paper to distract young diners, bring your own entertainment it is not a quick experience for young diners

Disappointing experience. Rude male waiter that looked and sounded like he just arrived from California ruined the experience. Guy smelled like alcohol and kept making bizarre comments and even told us that he was “grouchy.” Food was painfully mediocre as well. Also your choices of beverage are water (with no ice) or alcohol. Like the waiter said, “what you see is what you get.” Yeah, we won’t be back.

Had the scallops and shrimp all looked amazing yet it just seems places don't season to much. Was ok but really for the look you would expect more on taste.

Got here at 11:30am on a Friday- not a holiday. Posted hours said they opened at 11:00am. Restaurant was closed! I had pizza instead of the steak dinner I came to get. I don't appreciate the owner of this restaurant wasting my time.

We ordered chicken fingers to go since we were about to go on a backpacking trip and we wanted a good meal to eat at the trailhead. We opened up the boxes and tried to eat the chicken fingers because we were starving. We could not eat them, they very thin and hard as rocks (see the photos and notice the one held so you can see how flat they were; make sure to zoom in ). We had four orders of fingers and all of them were horrible! We did not have a replacement for this lunch since all of our food was carefully calculated. After our trip, I brought them one of the chicken fingers and they gave me a full refund, which I appreciated.
I have worked in several restaurants and this kind of food should never leave the kitchen, ever! It was not that it was bad, it was not edible. A refund is the very minimum one should do for this. I work in hospitality and it is certainly much less than what I would have done! I will never be back!

I was wondering and I'm sure other's are wondering too. Here is my thoughts. What happen to the fresh bread and butter, salad before your meal coming. And your dinner with a potato and vegetable. My problem is this. Here we take our daughter out for her Birthday. Wanting a Great Steak Dinner for her and yes that is what we got a great steak yes and a choice herb mashed potato or a smashed baby red potato. All for $44.00 16oz Rib steak. Great steak and potato but we have had better. Service was very good. But if I was a waitress or waiter in these days I would be imbarrassed. Wished I would have taken a picture and showed your our 4 steak dinner. A Steak and ice cream scoop of herb mashed potatos for $44.00
Wheelchair accessibility: There is elevator for the restrooms located upstairs. Plenty of room for any handicap ♿️ access

Had the happy hour lite bites for $10 each. Good deal. As mentioned in other reviews the artichoke appetizer was very good. A bit disappointed in the seared tuna. Wonderful waitress. Inviting and warm facilities. Don't forget to order the butter cake. Yummy. Not for folks on a diet.

Delicious dinner. My French dip and wife's Truffle Steak salad were excellent. Bacon wrapped dates were tasty.

We went to Black Canyon Bistro on 9/7/24 for dinner.. the staff was excellent, couldn't ask for better service. The atmosphere was very good and not loud at all. I do have one big complaint though. I am a lifetime beef rancher, meat processor and have been a beef restaurant review critic for many years. I ordered the Ribeye medium rare. I was Not served a ribeye, it was a New York Strip. I told the waitress and she said they didn’t have Strips on the menu.. They don’t have it on the menu but this was a very delicious NY Strip.. I know my steaks as a professional and most definitely this was not a ribeye steak. It was very good and I didn’t say any more. I don't know if they tried to slip in a different steak, maybe some they had left from catering or they just thought the public didn’t know the difference? I enjoyed the whole experience and everything was great. I just don’t like being fooled.
Excellent restaurant! You can’t go wrong with gourmet food & friendly caring service. My husband & I had reservations across the street at the carbon county steakhouse & they offered to seat us outside in an area completely infested with hundreds of flies, bees & wasps & not very clean tables & seats. Our greetings at this infested steakhouse was a nasty female saying in a unfriendly unwelcoming voice “we are not opened yet” at 4:27pm with a 4:30pm reservations. She did us a grand favor because we walked across the street to “BLACK CANYON BISTRO” & Wow what an amazing find & great experience. As I said excellent gourmet food @ the Black Canyon & friendly professional service.! We are satisfied & happy with our discovery by accident new restaurant.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience at the Black Canyon Bistro. Service was excellent. We were seated without any wait. The meal was delicious!
The Artichoke Dip was some of the best we've had. The Pan Seared Duck and the Elk Medallions were both beyond our expectations. The Buttercake is out of this world and is highly recommended.
Take my money!

We walked in and got a table on a Sat night right away. The service was way above average and the food and drinks were on point. But while I was in the restroom with my kids my plate and my son’s plate were taking away by someone who was not our waiter. We may have only had a few bites left on each plate but still not ok. We were definitely not finished it was so good.

After a very long day of driving, we wanted to sit, relax, and enjoy a great meal. We did not have to wait to be seated, which was a plus. We did sit in the bar area. We were also pleasantly surprised to have live music. The items we enjoyed were the Seared Tuna, the Blue Cheese Mac, Herbert Mashed Potatoes, the Chicken Fried Steak, and a salad with grilled chicken. The Buttercake was amazing! It is so big that the four of us shared it. We had a great experience. We love trying new places when vacationing.
