I really liked this place in the past, always come in when I in town with my daughter. I have always had a great experience until today. I was extremely taken back by how rude and unfriendly the two girls working were. They could have not been more put out and there was not a soul in the bakery. No greeting. The one girl was standing behind the counter on her phone. It is Really not a good look for the business. I did not want to stay and regretted spending my money. I have never been treated like this before by an employee and was not expecting it from Cattail Bakery. HORRIBLE customer service.

Not sure if we hit it on a bad day but the service we received from the serving 2 employees was appalling. Rude, dismissive, couldn't really find the time to be bothered by we 3 ladies. My cinnamon roll was yummy but I would never go back in spite of that. Really too bad.

This is a great little bakery! Hours are a little off, but it was worth the wait to eat here. Great selection of baked goods, counter staff were quick and efficient, and the prices were very affordable. There is a reason that they always have a line, and it is because the baked goods are so tasty. If they had been open every day, we would have eaten there every day for sure (and it looks like most of the locals agree because there were plenty of them there).

A great stop in the morning as you are on your way out of Red Lodge. My coffee was cold but they remade it at no charge
They have the most delicious pastries! I had the blueberry and black raspberry danish and it had lemon zest on it. It was amazing. The green tea with rhubarb syrup was yummy. Best bakery in town.

Nice bakery right on main street (Rt. 212) in Red Lodge MT. Came across it after riding the famous and beautiful Beartooth highway outside of Yellowstone Park. The bakery has great old tin plate lining the ceiling and walls and nice wooden floors. The girls at the counter greeted us warmly as we entered and quickly took our order at the counter. It was later morning so there were not as large a selection left. But what was there looked and was indeed delicious! Everything is fresh baked and the coffee was very good. A great place to stop after a awesome motorcycle ride through the mountains after Beartooth.

We are from Florida and just paassing through red lodge. We stopped at your shop looking for donuts and what we found instead were cinnamon buns sent from heaven. They are things of beauty!

Bottom Line: This is my favorite bakery and we plan our trips to Red Lodge around their operating hours.
The pastries are delicious, the cappuccinos are VERY good, and I've never had a disappointing meal.
I recommend Cattail without reservation. I make a point of going there for breakfast every day I'm in Red Lodge--and I will continue to do so.
