food excellent and very reasonably priced service and atmosphere were exceptional it is a short 5 minute drive from downtown Red Lodge Montana. It is nestled deep in a canyon along rock creek. best place in red lodge

We were staying in the hotel and looked on yelp for a dinner spot. After reading through a bunch of the reviews for old ponytail, it looked like they hit a rough patch about a year ago but the recent reviews were good. So we gave it a try. Our server, Michael, was very attentive and friendly. We had the salmon toast as an appetizer which we recommend. I ordered the bison ribs which were fantastic - barely even needed a knife because the meat just fell off the bones- and my husband...

Recently visited for a birthday party. Awesome location and a cool old building. I had ordered one entree and the wrong one was brought out. Since I was with a large group and did not want everyone to wait, I kindly said I would eat it. Very salty and not my favorite. Waitress was new and was nice but definitely a rookie!
