Five stars for food, atmosphere and service. One Legged Magpie offers a unique menu with layered flavors in each appetizer and entree that makes every bite mouth-watering and scrumptious. From the first bite to the last, every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented.
We did not want the evening to end as our waiter made the experience pleasurable, as did the owners who checked on us as well.

We celebrated our marriage tonight at The One Legged Magpie, and everything—from the food to the atmosphere to the people—was phenomenal.
We started with the salmon sashimi and lamb kebab appetizers—both were fresh, flavorful, and plated beautifully. For entrées, we shared the pork saltimbocca and the whole chicken over risotto, and I don’t say this lightly… they were both next level. Cooked to perfection, balanced seasoning, and just rich enough to feel indulgent without being heavy.
We paired the meal with a couple of mocktails that were seriously some of the best we’ve ever had. Creative, well-balanced, and crafted with as much care as any cocktail menu I’ve ever seen.
And don’t even get me started on dessert… the butterscotch flake sea salt pudding was absolute magic—sweet, salty, creamy, and gone in about 60 seconds.
The service was outstanding. Our server was knowledgeable, warm, and attentive without hovering. The bartender clearly knew their craft. And to top it all off, Chef came out to check on us personally, and Michael, the owner, came by to say thank you and welcome us in. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare—and unforgettable.
The portions were phenomenal, and the pricing was extremely fair—especially considering the quality, creativity, and experience. We also noticed they have a delicious pizza menu, which we definitely plan to come back and try. It’s clear this is a place everyone can enjoy, whether you’re celebrating something big or just looking for a great meal out.
The vibe of the restaurant is welcoming and refined, with just enough edge to make it feel unique. You can tell everyone here really cares about what they’re doing.

We had an amazing meal here with my mother-in-law and our family of four. My mother-in-law lives in the area so we have tried many Red Lodge restaurants and this one is top notch. Fun modern decor, excellent flavors, and attentive staff. We had a mix of appetizers, pizza, and entrees and they were all delicious. The adults especially loved the soup of the day - a sweet potato bisque - and the kids loved the pork schnitzel! We were there during happy hour so had 1/2 price cocktails - all specialties of the house with helpful recommendations from our server Travis. Everyone was also impressed that the restrooms had real hand towels!
Kid-friendliness: It does have a fancier intimate vibe but our kids really enjoyed it and we were not the only family there. Our server was accommodating and kind when we asked for sides to truly be on the side for our 7 year old.
We were here for a private event. The food, drinks and service were awesome! Will be back!

Travis, a server, phenomenal. truly so patient and helpful. the food? I literally just ate at Noma, a reservation I had to make almost 3 years in advance, and these appetizers were on par with that experience. I never leave reviews, but this I had to. hidden gem is an understatement.

This place is absolutely amazing, the food is priced well for what you get. I had the Montana Wagu, and my taste buds were absolutely blown away! The steak was cooked too perfection, and the potatoes were delicious. There was a slight spice to the braze that was on it, which complimented all the other flavors so well. If you're ever in the Red Lodge area, I highly recommend stopping in to try some of the scrumptious options they offer. They definitely have the best pizza in town as well. You will not be disappointed, hope you enjoy the experience as much as I did.

I read the reviews and was very excited to try this place. I was sadly disappointed. I think it was a combination of service and lack of knowledge from the server which resulted in her in misinforming our table of specific dishes and sauces so we did not get what was expected. I order the lobster gnocchi which was ok but I was expecting her description of a Parmesan cream sauce and it was more of a butter sauce. The pasta was bland and could of have used a pinch of salt since there wasn't any parmesan as expected. Overall, the atmosphere was nice. My cocktail was delicious but was disappointed in the food was expecting more for the prices. I would probably go back but get something different.

What a cool spot. Restaurant. Bar. Music Venue. Just popped in for dessert and was taken back by the cool vibe and layout. Hostess seated us and took care of us personally. Made sure we felt welcome and appreciated. Chocolate Torte was incredible as was the cheesecake. Will definitely be back for dinner during our next visit.

A GEM!!!!! This place is truly amazing!!! The vibe is quaint chic casual. The owner was very kind and attentive. The cocktails are next level, you could try their entire fall line up and love them all! The food is incredible, we stopped by for happy hour and ended up staying for apps, then came back 2 days later for dinner. If you have the chance ask for Travis to be your server. I swear he knew what I wanted before I did! One of the best meals we've ever experienced from drinks to dessert Make a trip to Red Lodge just to dine here!!
