Comeon who doesn't love a steak and burger on a nice day
Amazing Elk brrger
Great food and friendly service.
Food was good.
Great burgers, great beer fries. Can get a little warm inside spring the summer months.
The worst service I've ever had I will never go back
Not much heat in dining area
Stopped in a couple of months ago and still thinking about the best burger I’ve ever had in my life
Great place to eat and unwind

This place is a lot bigger inside than it looks from the outside. Tables are spaced nicely apart. Music wasn't too loud. The black and tan burger I ordered is easily in my top five for best burger in Montana. Very high-quality beef. The onion rings may have been the best I've ever had. I ordered an Arnold Palmer to drink, and it came in a huge glass jar with a straw, very delicious. Our waitress was quick and intuitive of our needs. I plan to visit again soon so photos to come.

Restaurantji Recommends
We visited the restaurant for dinner with two other couples while in St. Ignatius Montana. One couple are locals and frequently visit the restaurant.
The food was excellent. The salad bar was stocked with great items and is part of a dinner if you order one.
The food is also excellent and the portions are generous. The bar has several craft beers and a a selection of Coors and such.
The restaurant itself is clean and has a great western decor. This is a small town and you get a small town feel. Great atmosphere.
The service is "okay" but not great (seems if you are a local, you get better service. Just my experience on this one visit). The restaurant was not that busy, it seemed like we were ignored most of the time, but beers were eventually ordered and arrived old.
Bottom line, if service is your gauge of whether a restaurant is excellent, you might want to skip. If the food quality, portion size, and taste is most important, this place will definitely satisfy.

Waited one hour for the food just to find out that they forgot to put the order in. Horrible service

Stood at the ‘please wait to be seated sign’ for 3-4 minutes while the staff walked by multiple times and didn’t acknowledge I was waiting. Restaurant had 4 people total eating.
Never experienced that before.
Edit: looking at multiple other reviews, it’s clear I’m not the only one who has been ignored at this restaurant. There are mentions of ‘out of staters’ and ‘boaters, not ranchers’ feeling ignored. I live in the valley full time so it’s too bad.

Love the food, but my goodness they literally get my order wrong every single time we place an order to pick up. I mean EVERY TIME. I don't get it. So I end up paying extra for something I didn’t receive. This really isn't rocket science.

Food was delicious! Had the BlackBerry Jalapeño burger with bacon and fries, Mushroom Cap Cheeseburger with a salad, Taco Salad, and a Patty Melt with tots. Everything was excellent including the service!
