All of us had the Special Sirloin. It was supposed to be the most tender cut which it was. It was a bit on the dry side, however, despite being medium rare. All the sides were good, the mushrooms very good.
The Service was outstanding, everyone extremely friendly, efficient and engaging. My thoughts, good food but a bit overpriced.

If you're looking for a serious piece of meat, look no further. If steak isn't your thing, drive on, bub.

While the staff was friendly, the food was subpar. Tough steak, weird sides and 2 dressing choices on a house salad. I never ordered off a shared menu stand before, but I can now scratch that off my bucket list. Outdated atmosphere and a view of the lake about 500 yards away. Lots of booze needed to wash away the sorrow of the meal you will get. I had wanted to stop there for a long time, needless to say I won't be back except to drink at the bar.

This is a great steakhouse! The sirloin was perfect, even my son who is almost exclusively a chicken nugget eater ate the steak and loved it! Great atmosphere, great place for a steak, and great service from a generational family business!!!

Between California, Texas, and Chicago steakhouses, this is easily one of the best steaks I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying. Even the bread was amazing. If taste and quality are important to you, just cozy in and enjoy! By the way, the brilliant way they pack the food you take to go shows their experience. It keeps the moisture in and makes it sooo much better when you have it at home later. This is definitely a favorite. And yes, the service, the views and atmosphere is just fabulous!

A fantastic experience and amazing food! With very considerate assistance from the waitress, we were able to get a steak meal that fed three of us. The steak was cooked perfectly and with suggestion, added sautéed mushrooms. The meal also consisted of garlic bread bites, hash browned potato platter, and sweet pickled watermelon rind. Ended with cheesecake covered by huckleberry sauce. Fantastic food! Definitely recommend!

A favorite place to stop on our drives back from Kalispell. Get a table by the windows. Their signature steak is great…16 ounces which my wife and I split. Overlook the lawn and lake is a real treat!

This place has never let us down. The staff is so incredibly friendly and jovial. If you do not order the special with extra finger licking sauce, you are missing out! The view is second to none! Only been coming here for 7 years, gets better every year. I highly recommend bringing your friends and family. #montanasteakhouse

We came in this restaurant after a 6 mile hike. So we still had our hiking clothes on. The hostess treated us like lower class citizens. She sat us in the bar and took everybody’s drink order except mine and totally ignored me three times when I was trying to get a drink. The place wasn’t busy at all, but they made us wait for a table. What kind of a steakhouse only sells sirloin steak? We ordered their special which was supposed to be the most tender. Guess again, not tender at all. We paid our bill and was heading out the door. The hostess kept saying goodbye to me because I had went to the restroom after dinner. I was wondering why she was saying that she finally sticks her nose up in the air and said they’re outside waiting for you. We will never go back again.

I've never been to a steakhouse that only serves sirloin. I contemplated walking out then, but decided to give it a shot. We opted for the prime sirloin. While cooked as requested, it was tough and lacked flavor. I only could eat a couple bites. The bread was good. The potato loaf was not appealing, nor did it taste very good... and I usually love potatoes. The salad was chopped ice berg lettuce with some thousand island type dressing. Staff was pleasant and the setting is beautiful. A lot of potential, but we won't be going back. Luckily the ice cream place was still open because I left unsatisfied and still hungry.

Ok I’m not sure if other people have just never eaten food before but I’d like to leave my version of a review. The ambience is VERY nice and overlooks the lake. The wait staff are prompt, kind and attentive. That’s where the good of this restaurant ends. Your choice of steak is sirloin, less tough sirloin or ground sirloin. For a steakhouse I would expect several cuts but ok. We ordered a bottle of wine which arrived warm and DEFINITELY spoiled. So we decided to order a different one. It was also warm but not spoiled. Not sure if they keep the wine in the furnace room but definitely not good. We both decided to go with the “less tough sirloin” also known as the Lindy’s special. It was mealy. Cooked properly yes but super mealy as if it had been in a perpetual freeze thaw cycle. It didn’t taste bad but was tough and I was glad I chose the less tough option. It’s a lot of meat for the money but not sure it was worth it due to the lack of flavor and terrible texture. The best part about the dinner was the garlic bread and melted butter.
Oh the icing on the cake is when they put your leftover steak you couldn’t stomach into an actual dog poop bag and grab it like a turd. Yep you leave carrying what looks like a turd which I found apropos!
This place has TREMENDOUS potential but they need a visit from Gordon Ramsey!
