This is gem in Sheridan. The bacon cheese burger and mushroom burger very thick and they were fresh and juicy. Tator tots were very hot crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Homemade Beef vegetable soup was very good. The waitress had a wonderful sense of humor. Will go there again. It's not a drive-in. Sit down restaurant.

So, here I am again, writing reviews for my competitors. I own a restaurant in the same town, but, I gotta say, I can't always eat my own food. So, where do I go? Often the answer is... to the Prospector, now merged with The Sump. Let me tell you about the place. The restaurant part is above the bar-- completely separate. It is in an old hotel with all the charm one might imagine. You kinda have to park and walk, say, maybe a block or less because there isn't a lot of parking right in front. HOWEVER. What you get is worth it. Old-fashioned Montana hospitality. Maybe not a lot of effusive smiles, but really great service. If you are a hamburger person, you will get how important hand formed patties are. I like their burgers. Prices are reasonable all the way around, and, if you go at just the right time, you might get some great stories from some of the locals.
