I really love this place for breakfast. I get my dog groomed in Sidney once a month just so I have the excuse to go to Sunny's while I'm there. I've tried multiple items, and each time I find a new favorite. The service is a little slow, but it is always worth the wait. I will come back time and time again. I would definitely stop here for breakfast if in the Sidney area.

Great small town MT Cafe. Very good tasting breakfast plates and friendly service. Full menu, with takeout. If you need a quick bite while in Sidney, I would recommend the stop.

Love this place, it hasn't changed in at least the 14 years I've been coming here, which is what makes it a special place. Not to mention the food is consistent and always good. I always get the biscuits and gravy and add something else like eggs and hash browns. I noticed today they have the Biscuit Barge which includes biscuits and gravy, hash browns, a sausage patty and two scrambled eggs and was perfect! The gravy is creamy and savory and the hash browns just the right amount of crisp. Combined with two scrambled eggs and fresh biscuits and you got yourself a meal. The ambiance is what you would expect from a small town diner, including warm hospitality and a slew of regulars filling the room with tales of the simple life, clanging dishes, and laughter. Final comments include the excellent service received. Three servers worked the room, like they were working, a cattle drive or something, each covering the other, anticipating the need for coffee refresh, and while doing this clearly having a good time. Highly recommend Sonny's and look forward to coming back, and perhaps branching off of my standard biscuits and gravy and venturing into one of the delicious looking omelettes or one of the Mexican breakfast offerings.

The only positive thing I can say is the coffee was good when you could get it and the staff were nice. The gravy on my biscuits tasted lemony, so that was strange. They were so understaffed yet didn't block off sections of the restaurant so they could efficiently wait on customers. We asked 3 different servers for 2 glasses of water 5 times. We will not be going back.
I love the food most of the employees it is a busy place but they are pretty fast I wish they were open later than 2pm it would be a good place for dinner

Just visited two days in a row for breakfast at the end of fair week, both times were great! Classic diner faire and classic diner ambience (not fancy). We ordered a variety of menu options including pancakes, French toast, corn beef hash, biscuits and gravy. All were tasty... in my opinion, the crispy Corn beef Hash was the best I ever had. The service was excellent both times. It's noisy when busy so no worries with kids. It's definitely a community favorite... they have a wall of coffee mugs with the names of their regulars.
mchilling chill
