I had the Philly sandwich. It wasn't a traditional Philly cheese steak but was a good steak sandwich. I'm from the Philly suburbs, so am kind of biased having grown up eating the original each week. Good sandwich though!
I have gone to full belli deli, off and on over the years, the food and meats are usually good. I stopped going as often for a time (like for over 2 years) because the prices for the food seemed very steep. Like an Italian sub had a thin layer of meat, and lettuce and tomato..Italian subs are usually a medium to large stacked sub. I would eat half one day for lunch/dinner and eat the other half the next day type of big....the ones I had before I could actually eat a whole sub, just to feel full...so, I just opted to not eat there. Since the new owners bought it, it has come back in a big way. I ordered my Italian sub, and was not disappointed. It was large, full of meat, cheese and the veggies (the works) and I was able to have my 2 meals off one sandwich again! Im so happy that it is under new ownership, because this place is fantastic!

We came upon this place as we were traveling north from Kansas. Stopped for a couple of sandwiches, which were great - very generous with the meat. We also ended up buying a couple pkgs of their meat sticks and they were delicious.
On our way back home we decided to stop again and purchased sandwiches and this time several pkgs of their meat sticks. They offered a new flavor jalapeno pepper jack and although we've not tasted them yet they assured us they were fabulous and based upon the previous purchase we have no doubt.
We were hauling our camper plus trailer so we had to park across the street, which worked out perfect for us. We will stop again next year as we travel north.
The gals working were friendly and helpful.
Definitely worth the stop.

Review - Full Belli Deli - 9/22/2025
I was SO excited for today’s ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out) Club adventure that I could hardly wait for Monday to arrive! My excitement started Friday night. Our family was planning a donut outing for early Saturday morning at Mountie Moose bakery in Townsend, MT, a small town about a half hour east of our base of operations in East Helena. As I was checking out their location on my cell phone map I noticed a place near the bakery named, “Full Belli Deli” and I just knew, deep in my soul, that I had found a potential hidden treasure. I checked out their website, Facebook page, and Google reviews and decided that we needed to pay them a call.
On Saturday I stopped in and picked up one of their menus, which I showed to Otto on Sunday. We saw that they make their own sausage there and were surprised that their menu includes breakfast items.
Otto had his heart set on trying their breakfast pizza, stating, “I’ve never heard of breakfast pizza before.” I was leaning toward the biscuits and gravy, although I knew it wouldn’t be as good as my wife’s, but the fact that Full Belli Deli makes their own sausage had me heading in that direction.
Sadly, they stopped serving breakfast right before we arrived. It would be really nice if restaurants that stop serving breakfast right before you get there would clearly state that on their website or Facebook page, or SOMEWHERE! (This isn’t the first time we’ve been disappointed.)
After we had expressed our disappointment and dried our tears, Otto ordered the Philly Cheese Steak Sub, while I settled on the Italian Sub. We both added a fountain drink, (coffee didn’t appear to be an option.) Refills are $1.
As we sat down to await our order I noticed that there was no background music, just the loud humming of refrigeration units keeping the ingredients cool.
Like Subway these folks assemble the sandwiches where you can see them. Unlike Subway they slice the meat to order, so it just tastes fresher.
And the sandwich was very fresh and tasty.
The bun had obviously been recently baked. Its texture was sturdy enough to keep the pile of meat and veggies under control, but soft and tender enough to add to the “taste value.” We both ordered the large sandwiches and they were easily a foot long or greater.
This location is a popular spot for local workers: guys in ball caps, t-shirts, and jeans, construction workers, and farmhands - the kind of guys that make America great.
After we were finished with our sandwiches, we went up to the counter to check out the meat sticks. The staff behind the counter was very friendly and offered helpful suggestions. Their house-made meat sticks are $2.50 or you can get a 10 pack for $25. We purchased some meat sticks to go.
Otto said that this place reminded him of the New York style delis that he used to frequent in Florida and commented that his Philly Cheese Steak Sub was “really good.” My sandwich was about a thousand times better than any subs that I can remember. The tomatoes, lettuce and onions were super fresh and crisp while the Italian-style meats were well-seasoned and slightly spicy.
I believe that if we lived in Townsend we would quickly become regulars. Were the amazing subs worth the half hour drive? Probably. But if you’re already heading east from Helena it is definitely worth a stop. (We just need to get up earlier if we’re going to get the breakfast pizza.)

25 minute wait for a pasta bowl and breadsticks. The breadsticks were the only thing warm. Just melted cheese on cold chicken and pasta. Very disappointing, cuz it all tastes pretty good. Slow service, underprepared food.

People are nice, but service in making the sandwiches is quite slow. There were 3-4 people working and it was slow, took about 25 min for 3 sandwiches. But food is still good.

Today was my first time at the Full Belli Deli. I ordered a 12in Reuben and not only was it delicious it was also big enough for 2 meals. I will be back when I'm passing through Townsend.
