Worked in Sheridan, MT for a couple months and I came across this hole in the wall bar while checking out the scenery. One of my favorite top 5 places I’ve ever been in the United States. If you’re ever traveling through, stop and see the small town and grab you a drink.

I'm going to have to say this is a must see if you come into Virginia City. Have a cold one take in the interior. The wood bar was made in Missouri and transported here after it was purchased for $1. from another bar In Montana

Seared under the summer sun, sandy dust, sifted from my spurs as I walked into soft lit bar. She wasn't there, and I knew she would never come. It would be forever and a winter before the scent of her unleashes it's grip. Until then, a warm bourbon to spear my tongue is the only forgiveness.

Really cool experience felt like you stepped back into the 1800s such a cool spot to grab a beer.

Great bartender with exactly my kind of humor. Delicious beer at good prices and a great atmosphere rounded off the VC visit.

Simple, rustic, classic local Saloon. The food comes from the Virginia City Cafe attached to the bar. Good burgers and sandwiches. The bar offers a wide selection of Montana drafts, as well as almost anything else in the liquor department. They have a pool table, as well as a few slot machines.

Parking: During peak tourism times, parking could be difficult, but there is a free lot up the street. And the town is just 4 blocks long!

Kid-friendliness: Not really a kid friendly place. Tall chairs and tables, and no games or activities for them.

I went in to get a drink. Sat at the bar with my SERVICE DOG and was told I can’t be in there. I told him it’s a service dog and he said I have to sit by the door. That is completely illegal. I will not ever spend money in this place. I left. Will not be back.

Love the atmosphere but feel like it’s not the friendliest place for outsiders but how do they know for sure where you’re from as we’re born and raised in Montana

Was treated very well here! Learned about the bar that was moved from Butte to this location back in 1975. Fun vibe!
