We had such a nice dinner here ! The food was delicious and you can tell through the service and cozy atmosphere that the owners and employees put their hearts in the place ! We shared the Pepper’s Platter between three of us and it was delicious and more than enough food. Two of our group had the Texas Tacos and loved them and highly recommend them.

We came in on a Saturday night about an hour before closing and they were slammed. The staff were very attentive and worked together so well. The bbq and sides were absolutely delicious and we ended up with plenty of leftovers. We’ll be back next time we visit WSS. Thanks for a great meal!

Totally awesome BBQ joint! Best I've had in Montana and we've been to many. Highly recommend stopping in here to enjoy the food and meet the awesome family that runs this place. Great place and you're missing out if you don't try it. Five out of five.

What a find here in the small town of White Sulphur Springs! We shared the bao buns and brisket “snack”, which was more than enough for two. The smoked brisket was delish, the pickles sliced thin, and the bao buns were light and delicate. The BBQ sauce was smoky, so the a hint of sweet and heat. We’re from Texas, and eat a lot of BBQ, and this definitely rivaled some of our favorite places but with their own local flare! Stop by if your in the area.

I dont understand the hype. Bbq sammies were meh. Didn't even finish it. Rather bland and hardly any bbq sauce. Rice was dry and not cooked all of the way. $2 for a fountain and only includes 1 refill, and half the glass is ice in the first place? Rather go to the gas station and pay 1.89 for one there. Water glasses were very cloudy and filmy, likely due to hard water stains, but still was very offputting and hard to want to drink out of them. Only had 7 orders, but still made us pay the 20% large party fee for gratuity, despite it saying 8+ will incur the extra fee. Our service definitely did not warrant that much of a tip. That's the sad part about auto tips. Staff dont work nearly as hard or pay much attention when they know they will be getting 20% regardless.

Prepping veggies on the bar counter, left unattended, and covered with flies... nice.

And finally, took 15 minutes after we were clearly done and had even gotten to go boxes before the server gave us our check.

Overall, very meh food, meh service, and prices do not justify paying an additional card fee or only getting one refill on your fountain soda. Should build all expense into overall cost of your items. We have a line item for food, for automatic gratuity, and for card fees. Thanks for nickle and diming your customers.

Likely wont be my first choice when deciding dinner.

WHAT a fantastic find. We had 4oz Brisket and Salad, and veg soup and cheese toasty.
The Brisket was the best I've ever had, and the salad was nicely seasoned.
The soup was hearty and wonderfully healthy. Portions were just right.
Homemade cake selection was a taste sensation all in itself.

If you’re looking for outstanding food and warm hospitality, Jesse Pepper’s Smoke Shack in White Sulphur Springs is a must-visit. The food (and the desserts!!!) top-tier—flavorful and clearly crafted with care. The portions are generous, the service is genuinely friendly and attentive, making you feel like a regular even on your first visit. It’s more than just a great meal; it’s a destination worth the drive. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great food and small-town charm.

My husband and I stayed in White Sulphur Springs and were told to try The BBQ place in town. BBQ isn’t my husband’s go to meal but he absolutely LOVED Jesse Pepper’s Smoke Shack and highly recommends it. The homemade meals and desserts were amazing!! The entire staff were very friendly and polite. We will be back!

We stopped a couple of years ago and decided to stop again. We love to go camping in White Sulphur Springs and go to the hot springs there. Food was excellent and the staff was great. We highly recommend anyone wanting great food, stop in to Jesse Peppers Smoke Shack, best restaurant in town hands down.
