Traveling up 89 and needed some lunch. Reviews looked good so we stopped in, just before noon on a weekday. Great atmosphere: fun, rough, clever (2-headed taxidermied calf above bar) - plenty to look at. Waitress was friendly and attentive. We had hamburger and the smoked roast beef melt dip - which was one of the best sandwiches we've ever tasted. House cut fries were way above average. All-in-all well worth the stop - one of the most memorable lunches in a long road trip. Waitress suggested I take a quick look out back to see the smoker, after I complimented the sandwich - huge restaurant area - ovens and smoker spotless and gleaming. Man, those Wilsallians are a lucky bunch.

Excellent meal and beautiful rustic ambiance. I am not a red meat eater, but knowing all the beef is local and grass fed, I had a go of ordering the Crazy Mountain roast beef sandwich. It was out of this world. I highly recommend this restaurant as an intended stop on any road trip or just worth making a road trip for it yourself!
