This is the type of food that one finds in all parts of the country, Homemade stews, beans seasoned with epazote, tamarind water, my only drawback was that the rice was salty. I tried the ribs in red sauce, the pocho in green sauce and the breaded breast. everything delicious approx 90 pesos per dish.

About as authentic as it gets. They just have a couple things on the menu they make in a day. Everyone who works in town comes by to eat. We had the best prepared chicken we’ve ever had.
(Translated by Google) Attention, it is for adventurers, here we are talking about the local boui-boui category. We ate well without hitting our purse. And we've never had so many tortillas available (at least 10 per person)There was no menu, we chose from a notebook at random.(Original)Attention, c est pour les aventuriers, ici on parle de la catégorie boui-boui local. On a bien mangé sans heurter notre bourse.Et on a jamais eu autant de tortillas à dispo (10 par personne au moins)Il y avait pas de menu, on a choisi sur carnet au hasard.

You should go to these places, not the touristy restaurants, the fried fish was super tasty, the people are nice and the price is good!

Very delicious and homemade food
We were skeptical at first because there were only 2 different drinks and the menu was written on a collage pad. But don't let that fool you, the food and drink was excellent and very cheap.
Excellent service!! and taste

Family run establishment. Bustling with customers both days I've been here in Akumal. 3 daily specials and at least a dozen other options for dinner. Fried whole fish with sides was delicious! And very reasonably priced.

Rico, they give you extra water
Modest place but with very good stews. I loved the entomatada with its just right spiciness. Anota is an excellent cook.
Food with very good seasoning, dishes very well served, fresh and good quality food and of course cheap prices. And not to mention the fresh waters, which give you as much as you like at no additional price, the truth is a very very profitable and rich option
Very good address, 6 tacos for 80 pesos or 4 quesadillas for 70 pesos drinks included! And they are very nice! I recommend
I loved the food and they have very good service. The mamey and papaya aguas frescas were delicious.
