“Food here was some of the best we have had in Mexico. Best nachos I have ever had! Prices were not the cheapest but fair, you get what you pay for. Portions size of meals were big also. Highly recommend this place if you cant get a seat at Mr.Taco across the road. Only slightly annoying thing was that they blasted music very loud at 6.30pm but this seems like common practice in Mexico. ?‍♀️“

“The staff were really friendly and would help out if there was any problem. The hotel itself is fine, enough space for everything to fit. We found the cleanliness a little poor, in the sense that there were some cobwebs and dust laying around, but the beds and towels were stain free (which we don’t see often around here!). The food was really nice, on several occasions we ate breakfast here and it was really good! And not ridiculously large portions.“

Nice setting for a drink. The bartender was skilled, and the cocktails were excellent at a reasonable price. We didn’t eat, but the food looked fresh from what we saw being prepared in the open-plan kitchen. The place was busy the entire time we were there.“

We loved it, it comes to happy hour that ends at 9pm, the super friendly staff and the very distinctive place with car seats and chests. The drinks are very well made, and they are reasonably priced. If you are not from Mexico, remember that a tip of 10% or 15% is normally given if the service was incredible.

I think it would go up a lot more if they put a DJ on it.

“We were looking for a light dinner and a change from the regular tortilla-based food and this place really hit the spot. Had the mixed salad with an interesting citrusy dressing, grilled asparagus and the baked potatoes with cheese, all delicious. The 2x1 margaritas are superbly executed. My kid dropped a fork which our friendly waiter Santiago replaced before my wife had even noticed the mishap :) this place deserves way more customers.“

“This is one of the best restaurants in Bacalar. It serves good food and the meat is quality cuts. It's not the cheapest place but the quality is what you're paying for. The steaks, burgers, bufalo wings and salads were all very good. The atmosphere in the place was nice and friendly, and the staff were on the ball with their service. The cocktails were a real winner. The sangria, pina coladas, margaritas etc, were all excellent. We were here 3 times during our stay and had tried other, higher rated restaurants, which came nowhere near this place for quality cuts, service, atmosphere, great cocktails, food and price. Highly recommended. Give it a go!“

“We have eaten a traditional muffin and a fried egg toast here and it has been spectacular. The eggs were brutal! And the muffin is great. Furthermore, the waiter was very friendly and told us a lot of things about Bacalar. I highly recommend it. Plus it's right in the center!“
