This is the first time I have given an establishment a bad rating. The place has a beautiful view. It is very expensive and not worth what they charge. Very average coffee, the juice is from a bottle and they serve it full of ice. I ordered chilaquiles and I'm a vegetarian so I asked that they replace the chicken with egg. They charged me extra and if I wanted bread it was also at an extra cost and very expensive. The green sauce had sugar and a lot of it. And the oil on the tortilla chips was stale. I returned them and asked for my bill and they wanted to charge me half of the dish for returning it! Ostentatious and abusive. If I decide to pay a high cost, that's how I want quality and treatment. Disappointment.

I was a guest at Aldea and I have to say the included breakfast is disappointing. Eggs every single day and not even a single alternative (unless you pay extra).The food is good in general but they also snuck an extra charge into our bill and didn’t tell us about it.

I had already had lunch and just wanted to have a quick cocktail with the lagoon in the background. However, Bacalar is a gift from nature, with many hotels and restaurants barricading the lagoon, forcing day passes and meals, and generously offering great views. I imagined walking around the lagoon for a morning walk, but the only place I could walk on was an asphalt road. Meanwhile, I discovered Raiz Bacalar by chance. When I asked the staff at the entrance if it was possible to just drink cocktails, they happily told me to come in and even stored my precious car (rental bicycle) safely in the garden. Thanks to a cute cocktail and friendly staff, I was able to leave Bacalar with good memories.

We visited for the first time and wow! This restaurant is a little hidden in the costera road but you must visit and try their breakfast. They have a good selection, my favorite was French toast and avocado toast (must order an extra egg if you want protein), coffee and juices are excellent!
The staff at the place are very friendly, it is a very quiet place with a view of the Lagoon, they only serve breakfast, they have a simple menu and the costs are somewhat high. But it's rich.
