Fun atmosphere, good (not great) food at a great price. Lots of options and large portions for the price. If they are not packed (try to go on off hours) you will have a great experience. If you you go when it is packed, you will not have a great experience - they are understaffed for large crowds, they forget to tell people there is no menu (you have to flog read the menu boards above the kitchen and you have a good chance of being uncomfortably close to others as they push way too many people to each community table. I do recommend, but keep walking if they are packed.
Excellent! This place has upgraded since we were last here in 2019 but it’s not taken on a change to its traditions and quality food. You still get 20+ options for Tacco’s, Quesadilla and Burritos. We recommend it to everyone in the Hotel and the German family loved it so much they went twice in one day!
Authentic flavors and many options for all! Options include 20+ flavors of tacos, quesadillas, and burritos, with 5-6 vegetarian options as well. The chicken mole poblano is some of the best mole I’ve ever tasted. The chorizo and potato quesadillas were super tasty and the ceviche was the best we had while in Bacalar!
Nice for a quick casual dine. Loved the Ceviche. Cute decor. I would highly recommend this place and above all staff are nice.
Relaxed, friendly, cheap and UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS. I had one of the best burritos of my life here. Would recommend getting the cactus in your meal, it really added to it.
Many options including vegan/vegetarian. Service was always prompt and food always fresh and delicious. Speciality drinks like horchata and cucumber water were such a nice treat to stay refreshed! Ate here probably 4/5 days of our trip and didn’t have a taco that disappointed us!
Mr. Taco has rave reviews so we just had to try it! Unfortunately we were not impressed. The tacos were mushy and not very flavorful. The fajitas were odd, also not very flavorful. The best dish was the guacamole and the fish tacos were okay but they had a lot breading and oil. Not fresh. The entire family had diarrhea after eating here indicating it’s maybe not the cleanest kitchen. I’d honestly skip it entirely.
Recommended by locals and visited by locals and tourists alike. Good value for a decent Mexican meal. It's definitely worth a visit when in town.
Burrito was delicious!! Very good size, filled us up. We got it with #1 (minced meat) and it was great. Highly recommend getting a burrito here
We loved this place - tasty and affordable with Greta portions. We each had a burrito and a drink and it was less than 300 pesos

The best value in Bacalar! You can get 2 meals and 2 drinks for around 200 pesos. Cash only but its so affordable that’s not an issue. The fish tacos are awesome.
Me and my partner arrived after being recommended from someone we met on the road, not knowing what to expect we arrived to this bustling little shop. The staff were lovely & the burritos (I know who goes to a place called Mr taco & orders burritos) we’re filling & delicious. Am going back to try the tacos!!
Best tacos we ate, such a great selection and so wonderfully cheap !!! We had the nicest time there, very fast paced vibes and busy but we loved it
Big portions small prices, been in Mexico 3 weeks by far the best tacos and burritos we had! Loads of meat loads of cheese.
Mr. Taco ist just perfect. The price for 1 is Taco is 22$, for a Quesadilla is 35$. These prices are really low and the food is soooo good. We loved it and went there 2 times. But it is really full any time of the day so you need a little bit of luck to get a place.
