“It's such a pity that I found out about this place the day before I left Bacalar. I can't speak Spanish at all, and this was my first time learning that there was a difference between tortas and tortillas. Because the staff kindly brought the actual product and showed it to me. Communication was difficult, but I was able to order with the only word I could, 'cochinita', and the tacos tasted the best I've ever had in Mexico. This was my first time eating tacos with fish, and it tasted just the way I liked it, and I felt the same satisfaction as when I ate mackerel kebab at Turkiye. I was planning to visit again tomorrow, but when I read the review, I heard that it is only open on weekends, which is very disappointing.“

“We showed up a little too early but came back to get the best tacos of our entire trip. The folks here were patient with my lack of Spanish speaking ability and were very kind. I had to order MORE tacos because my initial order wasn't going to cut it. Both the beef and pastor were amazing. It is outside the normal tourist area but within minutes, it filled up with local folks getting dinner to eat there or to go. Bread and beer were delivered by a guy on a motorbike. Two men rode by on their horses. I felt like this was a place that really needed a spotlight because dang....perfection.“

“without doubt the best restaurant we have had in Mexico. you can go there with your eyes closed (but with mosquito repellent lotion). plus the prices are very reasonable. The whole family loved it. it was our canteen in Bacalar. (recommended by backpacker too)“
“My honest reviewThe food is very good except for the beef because it was hard and tasteless; but the chorizo and pork chop so good. What gives it the touch is the sauces too good don't say the macha uff delicious and the spicy habanero very rich flavor... yes I recommend it“

“We have been eating here for years in the Central Park of Bacalar and were happy to see their new location- growing and expanding. But the delicious comida is the same as always and the service attentive. Everything is good but the mushroom burrito and taco de chile relleno never fail.“

“The food is very tasty, plus the mixed empanadas (ground meat with cheese) but the attention is not the best, the place always smells of smoke and although that is a good sign of a good seasoning, they should put a hood for the smoke and to leave the walls black.“

“The food is delicious. The food is typical of the region: salbutes empanadas sopes chilaquiles. They have some pretty good sauces. What is not so good is the service is poor, slow. On weekends they have a lot of people and you have to wait a long time to be served.“

“The best tacos and tortas in Bacalar by far!! Their suckling pig is delicious, it runs out fast, at noon it's gone. Their delicious Asada cakes. The service is excellent, the owner greeted us and he was very friendly. The place is simple but very clean and nice. The best place to eat in Bacalar is this.“
“Fun atmosphere, good (not great) food at a great price. Lots of options and large portions for the price. If they are not packed (try to go on off hours) you will have a great experience. If you you go when it is packed, you will not have a great experience - they are understaffed for large crowds, they forget to tell people there is no menu (you have to flog read the menu boards above the kitchen and you have a good chance of being uncomfortably close to others as they push way too many people to each community table. I do recommend, but keep walking if they are packed.“

“Good dishes! The service has been unbeatable, we had Fausto as a waiter and his mother in the kitchen! It is also a very authentic place, outside of the center of Bacalar and the tourist area in a very quiet place... this is also noticeable in the price, which is cheaper! I recommend!“
“The tacos are delicious. The service is not the best, they take a long time to serve you, even if there are no people. They only have one waiter (at least the time I went) and if you're sitting at your table and someone comes to order directly from the taquero, he serves them first. Attention with that nothing more!“
“For a quick, good and cheap meal. I have been twice and I have been able to try the beef head tacos; They are their specialty and they run out soon. After midnight you can't find anything but pastor and carne enchilada, but just as good. The tortillas are very thin and small with great flavor. Highly recommended.“

“They recommended the place to me, when I arrived the staff was very attentive, it smells delicious, I haven't tried the food yet, I uploaded photos why I can't eat here for a while, but quiet atmosphere and if you are in Quintana Roo you know that it is super difficult to find a good place to eat and I'm sure I found the right place“

“This place is not touristic. It is authentic. They have several types of meat that the other places don’t have! We enjoyed our food and it was delicious! Service here was very good. A nice evening breeze made it even better. We would eat here again.“

“Tacos were dank. Exactly what we wanted for a little late night snack. Meat cooked right in front of us off of the spit and was super tasty. Plenty of toppings to choose from. 2 for 34 pesos was well worth it. Definitely come here if you want some authentic Mexican street taco action!“
