I went to the Bacalar municipal market to eat cochinita (it had been recommended to me) but they told me that it is only sold on Saturdays.Right there they recommended a restaurant that is one block from the market where they sell tacos and cochinita cakes.I went to the place around 8am and it was already open.It was delicious!! I ordered a taco (they are a large tortilla), a cake and a coffee (they serve it in a cup about half a liter), in total it was $85 pesos!!Plus the sauce was very good.If you are going to Bacalar and want to try real Mexican food... I recommend having breakfast at this place, lunch at Borrego Feliz (it is on the side of the road) and dinner at Mr. Tacos.

Amazing local taqueria in Bacalar where all the locals go to. Open very early in the morning around 6 or 7am it seems and it closes around 1 or 2pm
