This has been the best restaurant we’ve found in Bacalar—hands down the most decadent food. The service was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant. We had (and absolutely loved) the coconut ceviche, grilled watermelon, and guacamole with castacán. For the main course, we enjoyed a variety of tacos, including cochinita, mushrooms, suadero, and castacán. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the texture to the flavors.
As for drinks, we tried a few from the menu. We had a couple of mocktails, one called the Porfirio, which was like a butterfly pea lemonade with honey, and a coconut horchata. My husband tried a “Mictlán,” which had mezcal, Aperol, Ancho Reyes, rosemary, strawberries, and blueberries—he said it was fantastic! He then tried the server’s recommendation, a “Melodoy,” which had mezcal, pineapple, Xila liqueur, lime, cranberry, and honey—also very flavorful!
The amenities are great, too. You are allowed to use their facilities if you’re dining there, and although we didn’t use them this time, the pools looked absolutely amazing with loungers and swing beds in the water.
Definitely recommend if you are in town.

Я попробовал хлеб с авокадо и тако с грибами, и оба блюда оставили у меня только положительные эмоции. Хлеб с авокадо был свежим и хрустящим, а авокадо – нежным и вкусным. Листья шпината и сыр добавили прекрасные акценты к этому простому, но очень вкусному блюду.
Тако с грибами был просто восхитителен. Грибы были прекрасно приготовлены, а добавление свежих овощей и соуса придавало блюду насыщенный вкус и аромат. Тортилья была сделана из голубой кукурузы, что добавляло блюду аутентичности и особенного шарма.
Обслуживание в ресторане было на высоте – официанты были внимательны и дружелюбны, что сделало мой визит ещё более приятным. Огромное спасибо ITA ( очень милая девушка, которая нас обслуживала)
В целом, я остался очень доволен визитом в Waah Cocina de Origen и с удовольствием рекомендую этот ресторан всем, кто окажется в Бакаларе и захочет попробовать вкусные и качественные блюда в приятной обстановке.
Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Waah Restaurant in Makaaba Restaurant and my experience was exceptional in every aspect. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a warm welcome and smile from the staff.
The food was simply extraordinary. I especially recommend the chilaquiles, which was cooked to perfection, with an exquisite balance of flavors and textures. The ingredients were fresh and high quality, which was reflected in every bite. I also enjoyed the memela, which was delicious and a great way to end the meal.
In addition to the food, the customer service was impeccable. Our ITA waitress was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and always available to answer our questions and make recommendations. The service was fast without feeling rushed, and every detail was carefully taken care of.
