Great ribs , so delicious and tender . The shrimps were well seasoned tender and a good size. Appetizer , we had nachos natural different then what is served in our country yet they were absolutely delicious and the portions are very generous. We will go again for sure ! You don’t need to always go to the port side for great food . The colonial side offers you very good restaurants but this one you MUST try. Bonne Appétit!
El Nicho ! This is the BEST breakfast experience I’ve had in Mexico. As a former multi-unit restaurant owner for over 25 years, Let me assure you of a Fresh, Flavorful and reasonably priced menu. Open from 8 a.m. until 11:00 am (get there early) as every seat is taken for a reason, seats about 100 guests. Service is also excellent. I enjoyed the REAL authentic Canadien Maple Syrup (NOT corn syrup), I haven’t found that ANYWHERE in Mexico in 9 months! The food is perfectly prepared every dish. clean, fast and the coffee is outstanding. They specialize in making eggs Benedict and have excellent Lox and bagels. Near the park in the Port of Puerto Morelos.
Excellent
Hidden Gem. Great food and service ?. Hidden in the mist of a neighborhood in the Colonia. Excellent selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner options.
Great food ,nice atmosphere and excelllent service. They serve breakfast ,lunch and dinner. You can eat in or takeout.
We had breakfast twice, lunch once, and dinner delivered to our apartment. All the food is cooked to perfection by the chef and his team. The ribs set the standard - we tried ribs at 2 other restaurants and discovered we had been spoiled by El Inicio. For breakfast, the eggs were done to each person's wishes with extra crispy bacon & hash browns as requested. They even had Ketchup for my friend who HAD to have it for his eggs. I had a "smoothie bowl" which was frozen fruit blended with granola...yummy! I was told the coffee is very good by my companions. You can't go wrong. Bonus: English is spoken. It's on Calle Armadillo.
Great place for takeaway. Even served a complimentary delicious pancake while waiting for our rather large order. Some would've liked more salsa for their chilaquiles.
We were on our way from Tulum to CUN airport. We needed a quick lunch on our way, and found this place. Its a bit tucked away in a residential area. The people were extremely friendly. There is an open kitchen, you can see them preparing the food. The quality exceeded our expectations!

With a mix of “American” and Mexican food, the flavor of his food is amazing. We came through on our way to Playa De Carman, made it a point to stop for dinner on the way back!!

Two of my criteria when it comes to breakfast is the quality of the coffee and the quality of the potatoes, and these guys score. I'm not normally a big fan of eggs benedict, but they have a whole page on the menu offering different types of eggs benedict which are quite yummy.
