We chose this excursion through Royal Caribbean, and it was fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent. The tequila tasting was a highlight, and Alex was especially friendly. Additionally, the great dancers added a lot of excitement to the experience. I definitely recommend this excursion! I recommend bringing bug spray too!

I don't do many written reviews, but we LOVED our shore excursion to this place and I wanted others to know about it! The dancing was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was joyous. But most importantly, the staff here, from the host and dancers, to the wait staff and bartenders, were SO genuinely nice. We took two young children (15 months and nearly 3 years) and all of the staff treated them with kindness and care. I feel like the kiddos (as well as all the adults in our group) got a really special experience learning about a different culture, and I'm really glad we picked a visit to this place when we ported in Costa Maya. Thank you everyone at Aldea Mahahua!

Visited as a shore excursion, wanted something less active (usually go scuba/snorkeling etc) and relaxing. It was very nice to sit in a shaded outside court yard and enjoy good food, music and dancing which displayed the various traditions of the Mexican culture, states and regions. Very colorful and enjoyable. If you enjoy margarita's you'll receive the traditional lime, a mango and strawberry. The ones I had were on the strong side, you may request no alcohol. The food was a sampling from each region and everything was delicious. You'll travel the short distance from the port to the restaurant via modern charter type air conditioned bus and return with plenty of time for shopping at the village. Everyone we met in Mahahual were genuinely friendly and welcoming. They even have peacocks. We would book this excursion again!
